What would you all say is the most fun codex to play?
What army is the least codex to play?

I'd say that's entirely subjective. I enjoy playing my CSM immensly, I pretty much guarantee the next poster prefers something else.

that's the point =) get various people's opinion on the subject.

I enjoy playing with Dark Eldar and specially with their Reaver Jetbikes.

I love my tyranids, although I find their success depends a lot on the point-scale of the battle.

Other than them, I have been getting a lot of fun out of my chaos warbands, trying out armies themed around the different chaos marks.

My first love were my Eldar but a tide of gribbly chitinous death is just huge fun to play and looks great on the table.

I'm gonna say Orks.

I like running houndreds of brawly green guys, coupled with some ranshackle kanny killing machines (and a few big guns)

I'm going to have to second Orks as the most...entertaining...to play.

Least played I'd have to say Nuns with Guns.

I disagree with the SoB one, the two sister players I noramly face of against seems to enjoy their games immensly.

For me its without a doutbh a mix between my SW and my Tyranids. Both offer much in the way of lolzs and general good times

Another Dark Eldar guy here. LOVE this army, and this is my 5th I've played.

The most fun imo are Orks and Dark Eldar.
Least fun are Grey Knights and Tau.

I'm not saying that Sisters are not fun, just that they are the least played. I've seen every army from BA to Tyranids, except Sisters. It's the only army that does not seem to have a large player base. If they weren't so got dang expensive I would love to start up a Sisters army.

To play? C:inq or GK without the marines.
To play against? Orks

least would be Tau not because of the codex but the stigma and imminent labeling (man been playing since the 3rd ed codex ;()

I have a good time with my farsight enclave since I end up deepstriking everywhere. It's fun to declare a charge when playing Tau

Most fun to play? Sisters. I experiment with other armies, but always come back to my lovely ladies.

Least fun to play... well, I don't have any experience, but I figure that Imperial Knights are probably pretty boring as a core army.

Orks against can be fun, so many targets to kill, they rarely run out of things to shoot at n kill.

Daemons.

They can run some über hard lists, sure, but there's a variety of builds and lists in the book, factor in FW units and you can even run what is something technically approaching a mechanised list! Those units/combos that are broken aside, the codex has plenty of choices that are usable, if not always optimal (I'm looking at you Elites) and because of the nature of the army, if you like converting or using alternate models, coupled with the quite different aesthetics of the four gods, the painting and modelling side can be very rewarding too.

Most fun? Tie for me: Orks or Horus Heresy Legion
Least fun? Probably Tau. Not fun to fight someone who simply outranges you, outshoots you, and doesn't care what kind of terrain is on your side of the table.

The old tau codex. It may have been over ten years old and still had stuff about target priority, but it could be very fun if you knew how to play. Not very fun starting out thought, unless you are playing against inexperienced players (I was routinely tabled starting out, even more so then normal).

It depends on the context. In a friendly game against someone I know, I really enjoy my Dark Eldar, since they are enough of a challenge for me at this point to still be engaging. In a friendly game against a stranger, I like a middle-of-the-road Space Marine list, since I enjoy playing competently with an army that's well painted. In a competitive event I like Drop Pod Salamanders, possibly with Tau allies, because I enjoy winning competitive events by as big a margin as humanly possible.

Once the pre-game rolling is out of the way, Daemons.

I love Warp Storm and the hilarious results that can end up happening.

It entirely depends on the commander I am facing. ie: if they cuss every time they roll a bad die, I tend to enjoy the game less. Whereas, if they realize that it is a game and is played for a good time, I enjoy the game far more.

Well let me ask this: You are playing against Necrons. Your opponent drops his Monolith right in front of your super-strong model. Naturally you completely fail to do any damage. It opens its Portal. You (naturally) roll a 6 for your Strength test. What do you do?

No, naturally my assassin blows the monolith to smithereens with ease.

For me, least fun I'd have to go Daemons, especially if you are playing a list with multiple psykers and rewards and have to spend half the game book keeping and tracking so much stuff and the lack of control you have over the army.

Most fun is playing with my SoB. When I win a game with my SoB it actually felt like a game with strategy. It wasn't just a blow the enemy away and they didn't stand a chance or swarm them with numbers and hope for the best.
