Hello Guys,

Have a look:

http://pixelherogames.com/xenos-announced/

Quick one: Can I have a classic AAA PC RPG a'la Neverwinter Nights or Fallout as a next title?

...I have that funny feeling that this game will be very similar to 'creature collecion X &Y' ... which I will buy anyway...

Cheers

On mobile? Really? God fething damn it. I can't imagine it living up to the material as a freaking mobile game. Ah this has actually really annoyed me. Couldn't we have gotten this instead of space marine as a proper game, and shifted the shooter to mobiles? I mean we didn't need another on proper platforms. Again, god fething damn it.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Throw enough gak at the wall, and some of it's bound to stick.

I am so sad right now. The Eisenhorn trilogy is what converted me into a 40K fluff fan, for me it will always be the iconic portrayal of the Imperial Inquisition. For the IP to be used this way is so thoroughly disheartening :( Yeah I know its too early to tell etc etc but the video games GW has been putting out lately leave me no confidence that this will do justice to the source material.

This is exactly what I mean.

Amount of information that is carried in Eisenhorn books just simply cannot be appropriately represented in mobile title, which are in most cases pop-in-pop out games.

I would like to relish stories/action related to this particular hero. I want a game I will savour playing using full 24"of my monitor with the headphones on... not on 7 inch tablet in the crowd...

Anyway I wish them all the best, because that is one very good material for a game.

..no more whining from me.

Cheers

More like shooting blanks.

It's understandable though, mobile game transactions make up a majority of monthly game related sales. While it's in the right area, that's sort of like letting your dog poop in the right area of a park; they're still going to have to pick it up and throw it out once people get bothered enough by its existence...

The creator's previous game seems quite good, and the same principles seem to fit for an Inquisitor-based game.

Well on the other hand, mobile devices have had games on them like X-Com: Enemy Unknown, Final Fantasy, and Dead Space. Maybe this might be like that.

Mobile devices have had ports of games originally created for PCs and consoles. Which can become quite buggy in the process, and almost require your phone to be plugged in from the power drain.

Looks like I was right.

This game looks really gakky.

It looks pretty good to me. Look forward to playing it on my iPhone/iPad.

Eh... a mobile game ported to the PC platform with a simplistic control scheme, uneven VA quality and weightless combat? Meh...

Here's a TotalBiscuit review on the advance demo:

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
