Where did the BOOM Gun go? That was the best part of the looted wagon.

37 pts base for the Wagon is on oddly untidy number.

I would not be surprised if there were more typos here and there in those leaks ... as pointed out before, the killkannon would be at 67 point total, while it is at 60 points today, without a chassis (correct?)

That painboy has the same horrible looking kind of face that the SAG does. What on earth is happening to the classic Orks ugly mug. This new sculpt almost looks like they are trying to revert to GorkaMorka Ork faces.

From the looks of it, it also no longer decreases transport capacity. I expect these changes are coupled with a nerf. AP3 is going to way of the dodo would be my guess.

Yes, the Kilkannon upgrade just for the BW costs 60 points and reduces the transport capacity.

As far as I can see in the Looted Wagon rules, it gets to keep its transport capacity entirely.

I'm sad to see the Boomgun go, the str 8 and 36" range made it unique in the Ork arsenal. I really hope that they have increased the range of the Kilkannon slightly, since the looted wagon isn't durable enough to move forward and shoot. It is quite a steal at 67 points for a Rhino hull with a Killkanon though.

Another thing that seems to be shaping up very well is the apparent lack of change in the Ork army in general. I don't see any new mind blowing rules for any of the leaked or released models. Everything seems to be pretty par for the Ork course. Everyone of the new units could fit seamlessly in to the old 4th Ed. Ork Codex.

Does that mean the new codex is just going to be the 4th Ed codex with a new coat of paint?

I don't know if I'd even have a problem with that.

I'm going to be quite annoyed if they make it AP4 or less without giving us something else in return. It's not like Orks have much AP 1-3 weaponry in the first place.

All the 6th edition codexes were exactly that. GW currently doesn't seem to like "re-inventing" armies.

Well, in the new IG codex they really didn't change much. They made some bad choices better (psykers and techpriests) while completely dropping the ball with other choices like Orgyns, who even got new miniatures. It's like they don't really know how to write consistent rules.

Except from the boys kit,
I feel almost ALL the ork heads from plastic kit (especially Nobz) are butt ugly when compared to Nelson's work, or FW stuff

Also the mek and painboy (stupid blade peg leg again!) are showing that all plastic is not necesseraly good:
odd pose and, well weird minis.

Happy I have a few of the old ones in metal.

I was just thinking today how nice it would be if Rokkits were 5 points again, and lookee! So you can take a Killkannon with 3 Rokkits for 82 points? That's a pretty good gun platform, just hide it in cover. Move them up the field with a Morkanaut...sorry, I'm a sucker for Ork Tanks!

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I was thinking of bringing 3 with deff rollas and sticking a bunch of boyz in there... So many possibilities makes it great!

I'm very happy I'm still able to use looted wagons!

Someone who offers a deff rolla alternative is going to make a killing off of those new Looted Wagon rules.

And if there is one out there that you know of, please post a link so I can buy 6 of them for hopefully something not GW priced.

Yeah, but it was incredibly overpriced by 7th edition standards. 67pts is much more appropriate.

Potential for double ram/tank shock with deffrolla? Hell yes!!!!

Would it even do a second tank shock, or just stop 1" away? If it can double ram, then by god thats fantastic.

Its mainly pricing and problem fixing. The old looted wagon w/ boomgun was over a 100 points, and not even remotely worth it. Old Flashgits were assault 1 base.

Orks just need psychic powers and a few other little tweaks and they're good to go

This is definitely an army designed for the multiple FoC nature of 7th though. Three Looted Wagons might be good value for points, but its rubbish value for Heavy slots.

If you move flat out only to stop 1" away that would be un-orky, and just plain stupid.

Yeah, I agree, but most players I face would declare smugly that "no fun is allowed" in our srs game of plastic soldiers and would make it stop 1" away.

Looted wagon looks like an alpha strike gun to drive up and drop the large blast before it gets shot on turn 1. A 67 Point killkannon platform is not bad.

That being said the looted wagon is actually a gorkanaut in disguise.

If the looted wagon actually turns out to be that cheap I can see myself making a mass wagon army. Just arm 'em all with deff rollaz, get 20 grotz with 2 runtherdz to fill out troops and grab the cheapest HQ to make it a detachment and spam that for days! I'll show the Astra Militarum how you're supposed to use tanks properly!

Now that could be a fun army! *rolls dice* 'Please be a 1, please be a 1...'
