So there will be 2 versions, from what it seems then? A HQ, and the LoW (in his supplement).

Without fearless, ork mobs will be next to useless. Right or wrong?

I think this should suffice for a new LoW ghaz model.....

Here's what Google translate got for me for the second paragraph:

That was good for Andy, because it stop the boys to bitter end in the fight. (finally they want the loot, what does it matter if some of them die?). that woke the game is really about, because one or two brave orc survivor tied so all Tyranidenrotten in melee"

What I'm getting from this is that the "Green Mob" table is a d6 roll whenever the boyz need to take a leadership test. On the roll of a 1 they automatically pass whatever they need to.

The bosspole either allows a re-roll to that, or maybe changes it automatically to a 1? Not entirely sure there.

Once again I appeal to our German allies for aid in this matter, and apologise for butchering their language.

The whole white dwarf textbox translates something like this:
"Green Mob: Orkmoral is working completely different in the new codex. Whenever a mob of orks don't pass a moral or pinningcheck they have to roll on the green mob table. this can cause some radical consequences (from fleeing to figthing each other).
Because Andy bought every of his mobs a bosspole, he was able to reroll on the green mob table and changed the result several times to a 1 'born to fight'. This was good for Andy, because this keeps his boys till the bitter end of the fight. (In the end they want to have the loot, does matter if some of them die?) This really changed the game, because one or two brave ork-warriors bound whole tides of tyranids in close combat."

So if you have a bosspole you apparently reroll the green mob table and a 1 is maybe fearless. Strange that the lowest throw seems to offer the best result.

A lot of the wind of excitement is leaving my sails on the news that they're screwing around with Mob Rule. I hope for the love of Mork that we're still Fearless above 10 models. Otherwise it'd just be ridiculously easy for an enemy to shoot at a mob of Orks, kill enough for a morale check, and suddenly you've got a unit of 15 Orks in the middle of the table that are either running away, or fighting amongst themselves, or whatever the other bad results of the "Mob Rule" table would be. Ugh.

Mob Rule is one of those things that was pretty much perfect the way it was implemented in the last codex. Why screw around with it?

Because GW wants to replace every skill-full decision or static rule with a random chart.. Having no control over your army = narrative

Obviously because it wasn't cinematic enough. Will they kill themselves? Will they press on? Who knows! Exciting!

Big Shoota is Fette Wumme in the old Codex and this one is listed as Fette Wumme in the leaked armylist.

It would make sense to have the new Green Mob table come into effect once a mob is whittled down enough that Mob Rule - which is a different rule entirely - stops being in effect. It would actually bolster a Mob that has to first fail a morale check then either get a chance to roll a 1 or get two chances with a bosspole. It seems like it's an effort to buff Orks again - note that the scan says that Ork morale is changed, not Mob Rule.

As great as that conversion is, I can't help but wonder what it could be. Nothing in this game has that many guns!

I'm liking the fact Ghaz can be fielded as a LoW. I might even get the Warboss edition but it depends on the price. I've already spent quite a lot on 40K this month...

Two things: A 'for fun' conversion and off topic.

I hope that its just an addition and that above 10 models or whatever it was they are still fearless.

It's the fact that the Flash Gitz don't have an additional special rule called "Green Mob" or whatnot that makes me think that this new table is part of the "Mob Rule" rule now.

Basically I'm worried that the new Mob Rule will be whittled down to "Whenever this unit fails a morale test, roll on this table", and that Mob Rule will no longer actually modify the leadership of the unit based on how many Orks are in it.

Thats my worry as well. Orks will have to take a lot of morale checks if we are not fearless in some capacity. I do not like this table if we have to roll on it every time.

Becasue they screwed Nidz pretty much with their new synapse rule and they must have thought... hey! Maybe if orks were in the same boat, both armies' players would be happy!

Yeah... right!

Whoah, thats even pricing us Bad Moonz out!

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

First reaction... Yikes.. Thinking it over, if it comes with the supplement, some extra goodies, might not be terrible? We'll have to wait and see what the contents are. I'm cautiously optimistic..
