If you can't make bloodbrides work your doing it wrong.
Kabal is the most competitive we have at the moment...
In the shooty environment we have, there's no reasonable bases for saying the low T,S and A
HtH models are a better build.
My Kabalite aren't undefeated, but I run about 85 to 90% victories with them. Even when they lose, it's a tough fight until the end. Only Tau give them a REGULAR trouncing, and that is only since the new Codex (Eldar give me better than I give them, though, too). My opponents are highly skilled, very experienced players.
Another thing to keep in mind, and I don't know how this compares to your opponents with your Bloodbrides, is that my group has access to just about every
40K model in the armies we play AND many
FW models. Want to play a 3 Wraithknight Eldar list? We've got that. Want three Riptides? Okay. Pretty much, if someone in our group has the army and you can come up with an idea for an army, we've got the models to field it. Some might be proxied (we don't have 3
BA dreads with Blood Talons, for example), but the base models are there. If you're playing people who are playing less competitive armies due to budgetary restrictions, that makes a difference.
(Note: Not making any assumptions. Just putting that out there)
Shingen, what would your 1250 Bloodbride list look like? What about 2000 points?
