If a model has a Power Sword and a Pistol, that's an extra CC weapon. Would the bonus attack from the pistol be resolved at the Power Swords Strength and AP, or as a basic Strength-User, AP nought attack?

Having an addition CC weapon grants an extra attack. You can chose whatever melee weapon to use all of those attacks on.

Power sword strength and AP. The pistol just grants another attack.

This. Make sure to choose your best weapon for the unit you are in combat with.

Yeah, root of the question is I'm building a Black Legion army with Chosen as troop choice, and they always have 2 CC weapons...not even sure if anyone there can take a non-Specialist CC weapon upgrade (maybe the Champion), but if they can, just wanted to figure out how to resolve bonus attacks.

I've never realized how counter-untuitive the CC rules are until I started thinking about how to kit out this CSM army. Why would getting poked by a common dagger or bludgeoned with a pistol butt confer a bonus attack, but getting smashed by a free fist encased in power armor do nothing.

And, of course, if someone is swinging around a power sword mixed with the butt of the pistol, why would the pistol whip be an AP attack? In any case, this works out best for the attacker so no complaints.

It's not really the butt of the pistol, more the close range firing of it. Ducking to avoid a shot will make you more vulnerable to the swing of the sword.

I see your point about ducking, but lets pretend someone in real life attack someone with 3 strikes, two with a 5 foot sword, and one with a billy club. It'd be possible that ONLY the billy club would hit, and that would do way less damage than a strike with a 5 foot sword.

I actually would prefer the way the RAW play (less extra stuff to worry about), but it doesn't seem very realistic.

You're playing a game where a genetically modified super-human squad leader can kill another sergeant and suddenly become a Daemon Prince. Getting +1 Attack from having a pistol is where it loses it's realism?

Still, it doesnt seem "internally realistic". Power armor is supposed to be some bada$$ tech, but a dude fighting in CC with two fists encased in power-armor gets less attacks than a guy holding 2 wooden clubs?

Pagr 51 clearly answers this question. More than one weapon section.
