More of a proposed rules thread so ....

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Yeah, kind of tempted to run him now, just kind of made it up in response. I'm not entirely sure about points cost but he is a bad ass version of a Phoenix Lord. I want to see him run into the face of a Tyranid Monstrous Creature Character and challenge. Should be an interesting engagement.

I think the Solitaire should be one of the most deadly things to meet in close combat, but thanks to skill and not wargear. A Solitaire should be armed like any other Harliequin but with rules to reflect their skill and aspects, think less Phoenix Lord (which are essentially the same and are unique because of gear) and more Lelith (Dark Eldar, uses nothing but knives but is one of the most deadly things in Close Combat). Infact, I think without making your own rules Lelith would be the best choice but if you want to make your own rules using her as a template it would look like this.
Solitaire. 205pts
Ws 9 Bs 6 S 3 T 3 W 3 I 9 A 4 Ld 9 Sv- Jump Infantry (Character)
Wargear: Harlequins kiss
Mantel of the Laughting God
Holo-Suit
Flip Belt
Shurikan Pistol
Plasma Grenades
Special Rules: Battle Focus
Fleet
Furious Charge
Hit'n'Run
Preferred Enemy (Daemons of Slaanesh)
Blitz Attack*
Soulless**
Laughing in the face of danger***
* When the Solitaire charges successfully, note how many unused inches there are of the total amount rolled between the Solitaire and the charged unit, the Solitaire gains that many attacks for that assault phase.
**Soulless. The Solitaire has 2+ deny the witch ad may not be the target of friendly psy-powers. The Solitaire also causes fear and when in combat with a unit containing a psyker, any model from the Eldar, Dark Eldar army or Daemon army must use the lowest leadership for this test.
***Laughing in the Face of danger. The Solitaire always rends on a 4+, may re-roll his hit'n'run tests and benefits from a 3+ invulnerable save in close combat, this may be re-rolled if the Solitaire's WS is double or more then the model that caused the wound.
What do you think?

If you want the Counts As option, just use Lelith Hesparax. She's pretty much got it covered as-is.
For something a little more unique, you can check out my Harlequin Codex for my thoughts on the Solitaire and a straight Harlequin army as well. (The link is in my signature. I'd love to hear any comments anyone has on it.)
