Which units would you plan on deep-striking in list A? You've got 6 potentials with only the Vindi's obviously on the board at the start, so at least 2 more would need to start on the board, I'm guessing the CML squad and Plasma Cannon squad?

With list B, what is Ezekiel adding to the list? He can't deep strike, so would end up hanging around with the tactical squad which I can't see as the best use of his abilities.

apologies, should have stated tactics, hurridly typed the post whilst my boss wasn't watching!

Yes i was going to deep strike the CML and PC squad. I am also undecided whether or not to take out the librarian from list A and replace with a scout squad with sniper rifles, camo cloaks and a ML so they can just sit on an objective.

The Twilight Zone

I would deep strike the flamer and knights, keeping the plasma and CML back to dakka and camp a home objective. If you can, spring for an assault cannon over the plasma cannon, it is better against most targets.

I agree about dropping zeke for a termi armor libby in list b.

With spare points, you can always take more chainfists, or additional storm bolters on the vindis for extra weapon destroyed insurance.

I don't take the libbi anymore. my scouts have been the winning unit my last three games for capturing the necessary objective.

Libbi has underperformed. Prescience is unnecessary in a DW list. The PFG is also less necessary in a DW squad.

how do you run it? Trip Raiders and 3x5x termies plus Belial is already about 1700 points. It just doesn't have the damage output needed.

But its very survivable. I would usually run 3 landraiders at 1850 but at 1500 i would go with 2 and leave a small footprint on the board and just use up that armor 14 and 4 hp

I faced a trip raider BA list with min assault units, priests, 3x dakka preds and mephiston. My DA took out the preds and a few marines but really could not touch much else. Mephiston chomped right through Belial but I knew that was going to happen.

FYI I run 3x5xDW Termies, Belial, 10x Tac in Rhino, 5x Scouts, 2xTLAC Dreads, RW Squad with MM Attack Bike and Techmarine on bike w/ PFG.

Okay so had a bit of revision of a list whilst stuck in a traffic jam today. Revised list as follows:

Belial - TH/SS

DW terminator squad - PC, CF, 1xTH/SS

DW Terminator squad - CML, CF

DW Terminator squad - HF, CF

Tactical squad - Flamer, ML, Rhino

Scout squad - camo cloaks, sniper rifle & ML

Vindicator - siege shield, HKM

Vindicator - siege shield, HKM

Comes to 1,490 pts.

Am I correct in thinking you can take more than one HKM in an army?

Tactics would be to deep strike Belial with the HF terminator squad whilst the CML and PC squad footslog and Dakka from the back. Scout squad will sit and hold an objective for as long as possible and the tactical squad will aim to take a mid field objective and hold it with the rhino acting as LoS blocker where possible. The vindicators will sit back field and rain down strength 10 hell from the left and right side of the table preferably in cover.

I'll be playing chaos so I the HKM's will be popped first turn aimed at my friends two maulerfiends.

Thoughts?

Correct, it's a limit of one per vehicle.

That list looks good, though I'd consider the last 10 points as a TH/SS upgrade in the other two squads, or both in the HF unit perhaps, placed towards the highest concentration of plasma in the enemy army.

You've got enough units to deep strike with all your terminators if the situation favours it.

Hunter-killers are not fantastic, but on Vindicators can be viable as you won't always guarantee being in range T1.

No anti-air, but I can't see enough expendibles to add a quad-gun, so you'll have to play the ground game or hope for lucky snap-shots.

Thanks quanar.

I've dropped one HKM and used the 10 pts from that and the remaining 10pts to add Flakk missiles to the tact squad and the scout squad for abit of anti air

The first one is harder-hitting than the second. If you are going to do Deathwing, do Deathwing. Greenwing just gets in the way half the time. I like the Belial Librarian combo.
