Every errata post-April of last year was for releases that occured after that date, and only include a line or two at most in each of those books to fix typos. The only ones that actually altered anything worth mentioning are the rules governing Techmarine servo-arms in the latest Marines book applying to Space Wolves, Blood Angels and the Base Rulebook.

I am now going to hang my head dejectedly, feeling disappointed in the owners of the IP of the hobby I love so dearly. I would say I'm mad, but at this point it's kind of hard to still stay worked up. I'm just going to resign myself to not buying any more models in the hopes things'll get better.

Maybe they stopped the FAQ department for more play testers and rules writers for the next rule set. It will be so perfect there will be no FAQs needed

Maybe they cut it out so they could save money. That sounds more plausible.

Step 1: Studio member registers on Dakka. Takes two minutes.

Step 2: Studio member posts a thread in YMDC, asks Dakkaites to come up with a list of questions for each faction that they want answered by the end of the week, compiled in separate pdfs. Another two minutes.

Step 3: Stop by Dakka at the end of the week, download pdfs, fill in answers, re-upload to the Shrine of Knowledge section on GW's website. Let's call it about one hour.

Time spent: 1 hour and 4 minutes. Total costs (labour costs plus overhead): about £50.

If ten guys worldwide decide to pick up the Tzeentch chariot thingy because it can now actually be used, they've made a direct profit.

Don't forget wading through the abuse being hurled because s/he couldn't read which caused the problem in the first place.

They could probably do better by contacting someone like yakface directly to see if he could provide trends on the site as far as rules questions (which considering they've straight out taken answers from the INAT in the past....)

It could also be that they've gone a lot more digital friendly and errata is published as updates to the digital versions. Still doesn't help with the FAQ's or those with only print versions but it's better than nothing.

I really wish I'd known about the digi editions before I bought the print versions of the first 6 of the new edition books. I'm seriously tempted to re-buy the daemons book in iBooks for just to keep from having to constantly flip around in the book to find where the six different cross referenced rules are for most every unit.

Has this been the case? I haven't seen many threads about rule updates in the digital formats, but I was under the impression that the only real "updates" in the digital format had been for errors/inconsistencies between the digital and printed formats.

The digital edition "updates" have simply been whatever has been errata'd or things to fix errors in the digital book (you know, code stuff.)

There isn't anything in the digital books not also on the errata/FAQs already published.

on the forum. Obviously

You know what's scary? Apparently there's a bunch of rules typos in the non-english versions of the new IG/AM book.

Meaning that if there is no FAQ, many a Spaniard will be wondering why his sentinels suddenly have a toughness value.
