So...I have a problem. I have been staring at my long list of models to get done by the end of the year, and I need some help with a secondary project that I hope to start once i get them completed. Anyhow, I hate faces. A lot. I worked for a bit on a marine force, and every single guy is helmeted. Now, I planned to do that same concept to some Cadians, but I ran into a problem. I have been looking at helmets, and I fell in love with the Kasrkin pewter ones. It was only today when I remembered that Kasrkin got taken down from the GW site (And I am an idiot for not realizing sooner how bad that is to my plans.) , and so now the hunt begins for some Kasrkin helmets. Anyhow, anyone happen to know how the Kasrkin models were produced, i.e. full cast models, or sprue based blisters with assembly? Also, if anyone happens to know any sites that would still sell Kasrkin or specifically their helmets, I would be most grateful. Also, any alternative helmet ideas that resemble Kasrkin helmets are also welcome.

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

Unfortunately the Kasrkin are single-mold metal models, so the hats are not available separately.

Hopefully someone can point you at some third-party lookey-likeys.

Check the "Cadian Hostile Troops" and "Cadians with Respirators" conversion sets.

I use the respirator upgrade packs religiously. They are expensive (essentially doubling the price of 10 guardsmen) however they look awesome, and you get loads of extra kit and excellent bits that really make the standard cadians look incredible.

As with forgeworld, its pricey but always worth it.

The respirators from the command squad kit and the heads with the lenses from the heavy weapons teams, or some greenstuff.

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

Previously mentioned Cadian respirator upgrade from Forge World is the best option so far.

Sorry for slight necro--

Are the Forgeworld heads the right size? I remember reading somewhere that they were a bit small. (Is going to be making Kasrkin himself...)

Hostile Troops won't work as the torsos and heads are all one part.

The Cadians with Respirators kit is exactly what someone would want if they are going to make Kasrkin.

In response to Kilkakon's question, they are a "bit small" but that is simply because they were made to be usable for both Cadians and Elysians.

No, there is a separate set of Elysian respirator heads. I use them on my Elysians with flamers.

The Caridan heads from FW look smaller because the bulges on the helmet are not quite as exaggerated. But they swap out readily with the plastic heads.

I was meaning more that the Cadian Respirator heads were made to not look out of place if one were to put them on Elysians, not that the Cadian Respirator heads were made to be used on the Elysians and Cadians with no Elysian option out there.
