Just interested to hear if anyone has any cheaper ways of making IG/ AM sabres without forking out the £22.50 per gun to forgeworld?
Lemme hear your tips/tricks/conversions/counts-as/whatevers
Cheers,

Space Marine Lascannon sponsons seem like a good jumping off point.

I was thinking of the sponsons from the LR Godhammer, especially as i'd like a new raider anyway.
Hmmm....
@Makumba I think that they're a little too different, and can be confusing given that the HWT are in the codex too. Was it a suggestion, or is that what you use? If the latter, what is the general response from the people you play with?

With some styrene rods, pipes, and sheet, and a little elbow grease, you should be able to weld together a suitable weapon frame pretty easily. Its basically just a skeleton to hold some guns together. Then just magnatize some IG heavy weapons to it, and presto bango.
Puppetswar used to have these things, but I cant seem to find them on their site:
And you can make a base really easily with this platform bit from the bastion kit (the one with the support legs) and then mount whatever standard razorback-sized turret on top, such as the above puppetswar one:

Thanks, that's certainly an avenue I'll look down I was considering the Quad gun things Automatically Appended Next Post: @McGibs - thanks for the puppetswar reference: I've found some excellent models there, with just a cursory glance at their website.
