This list is unlike most other builds I typically ran with the old dex, and I'm wondering what Dakka's opinions on this are and how I could improve it or if it will even work at all.

Tank Command Squad
Pask - Punisher w/ x3 Heavy Bolter, Augur Ray
Exterminator w/ x3 Heavy Bolter
Exterminator w/ x3 Heavy Bolter

Veteran w/ x2 Plasma Gun, Chimera
Veteran w/ x2 Plasma Gun, Chimera
Veteran w/ x2 Plasma Gun, Chimera

Militarum Tempestus Platoon

Militarum Tempestus Command Squad w/ x4 Melta
x5 Militarum Tempestus Scions w/ x2 Melta
x5 Militarum Tempestus Scions w/ x2 Melta

Manticore

Basically, the goal would be to get Pask into shooting range and use him as Tempestus delivery system. I'm hoping I'd have enough firepower to clear out the midfield in order to get my tanks/veterans there. The tempestus squads can either accurately land onto Pask and support my tanks in the midfield, or go for a backline meltacide attempt.

Nice list, but what about flyers? Vendettas or stormrvens will go straight for pask. I would use a vendetta for one or two of the scion squads.

If I were to get a Vendetta in there, I think it would be best to replace the manticore. Most armies with threatening flyers don't have the horde elements a manticore is good against, no?

Although, I'm hesitant to use Vendettas because of their price hike and decreased transport capacity. To be honest I was hoping this list would be able to dominate the ground war instead.

I love the manticores, I always make a point to use at least one in my IG, however, I do not think it fits into your army. Being the only vehicle in your back section will leave it rather unprotected. Also, your army is more of an "in your face with a can of mace, make you cry all over the place" army (you move towards them), and I would be concerned with scatter since you will be near the enemy quite a bit. For all these reasons and more, you should get rid of the manticore (or get rid of a lot of other stuff, and get new stuff to support the manticore, but that would be scrapping your list, so just get rid of the manticore).

Six plasma shots a turn (12 if in rapid fire range) should be decent enough at 1500 points to deal with any AP2 you run across (not much at 1500). Same goes for the Scions with heavy armor.

As for your PowerPaskPlatoon, I think 27 heavy bolter shots, 8 TL autocannon shots, and 20 rending str5 shots is overkill.

All in all, I would definitely sub the manticore for a vendetta. I would also consider (based on your meta with fliers and AA) dropping one of the exterminators and the augur ray (yes, I know it is for the tempesti, but if you put your LRs with your warlord that close to something you need melta to kill, those LR's are ganna die) to free up 175pts to get another vendetta. However, if you dont get too many fliers and you dont think your vendetta would get shot down within a turn or two, you may not need to drop the exterminators.

All in all, a good list that can take one AP2 (plasma) AP3 (hotshot lasguns) AP4+ (LR's and standard lasguns), deathstars (LR's) as well as vehicles both light (LR's) and heavy (tempesti melta). Only thing you are missing is Anti Air.

Resin Printer (minaitures) is a 4K printer with one of the largest build volumes available for a resin printer (192mm x 120mm x 245mm) with an amazing .01mm resolution! This professional printer is one of the best resin printers on the market!

FDM Printer (terrain) also has one of the largest build volumes available for an FDM printer (400mm x 400mm x 450mm) and has an amazing ,05mm build accuracy.

I'm going to a 1500 doubles tournament next week and we're running 12 Broadsides and 2 Riptides, thats 34 wounds with 2+ saves. I'm not convinced 6 plasma guns in enough in a competitive environment.

But he does have 6 meltas and Pask. Though it is a weird combo with him as Exterminators are twinlinked anyway so Executioners seem the best synergy with Vanquishers a close second.

Tauroxes are cheaper than Chimeras so I'd make that swap too.

I agree entirely putting Pask into augur range is putting your Warlord at a massive risk though the short range of the Punisher encourages this type of tactic which is one of the reasons I don't like him in it.

What do you mean they're a weird combo with Pask? Don't his bonuses apply to Pask's tank only?

You are correct. The bonuses actually only apply to the turret (other than PE and rerolls to pen). I thought the HQ tanks where perfect together, get the autocannons shooting armor or heavy infantry, then bring in the Paskisher for heavy AV or MC's,

Augr range is 6" near something you need melta to kill. Punisher range is 24" that you want 20 Str5 rending rerolls to pen to kill. Huge difference.

The HQ LR's have an effective range 48" and 24" for pask. You can stay clear of melta very easily with a 24" range. And the abilities pask has as a tank commander allows you to move over 18" a turn, so if something is getting too close for comfort, you can turn tail and hide if you REALLY REALLY need to get out of there.

PE applies to the whole squad check the PE rules, giving Executioners rerolls on their gets hot and blasts. Hence the weird combo with Exterminators who are already twin linked so don't get any advantage from rerolling 1s to hit. Sure they still get rerolls 1s to wound but as stated they probably won't be shooting stuff they roll to wound against very often.

Also Pask is going to be hiding behind the other 2 tanks right? So they are going to be within 19" if he's with 24" of his intended target. Which is pretty close to melta range. How can Pask get the vehicles to move over 18"? 6" move 7-12 flat out (which means no shooting) that is a total of 13"-18".

How does preferred enemy work with re-rolling blasts? If I were to use Executioners over Exterminators do the blasts count as twin-linked or would the "to hit" reroll just be the Gets Hot! ?

You get the full reroll for having PE as well as the reroll on the gets hot.

Does this list really need them though? I don't believe they are necessary for the Mechvets, and they would be way too vulnerable sitting outside near the tanks.

One thing I've been considering is using my Tempesti from the mini codex rather than from the AM book, as they have arguably better orders and can score. Is it worth it?
