The ice base looks just excellent, so realistic! I know the model isn't yours, but where could we see the full thing?

Great to see you back working on the Butchers, too

A bit more progress on Brisket. Hoping to have her done for Thursday gaming evening at the store.

I was done, sealed, flocked, everything. Even did the photoshoot. And then I realized I forgot the blood effect... Here is a temporary "done" picture.

Looks really good, love the arms on the tunic and the gloves in particular!

Started working on Boiler and Princess for the Butchers, but I don't have pics to show.

However, I also recently started two sculpting projects, one 3d and one classic.

First one is a 3d resculpt of a small ninja onion (le zonion) I did in greenstuff in the early 2000s. I wanted to do a new version of it, and also to dabble in 3d sculpting, so it was a match. It's still a wip with lots to do on it, but I'm happy with how he is coming along, and also with Sculptirs, the software I'm using. It's intuitive enough that I could use it pretty quickly, and it works kinda like traditional sculpting, but digitally. Nothing like the old CAD/3d modelling stuff I tried back in school.

Second project is a small "snow golem" to go with a friend's Frostgrave warband. I'm sure you can guess the theme...

I'm about to start singing the theme song

Not a lot of hobby recently, but I did manage to put some time on Boiler. He's almost done; I wish to have him ready for Sunday tournament, in case I have to act as the ringer.

Also done with the main bopy of Olaf. Stopped working on it as I'm waiting for casting material to come in. Sing RiTides, sing!

Boiler is done, but I haven't taken a photo yet. Olaf is still on break, but I'm doing my first metal casting test with the new mould material this weekend, so it should come soon.

In the meantime, I've started working on a Menoth commission. It's for Severius 2, one of their warcaster. Robes are about done, and the rest is at colour blocking.

I also did the marking on a friend's Guild Ball pitch. Might has well put those template to use.

Severius 2 is almost done.

I also did some test casts using a new mould material, as what I previously used is past its shelf life by a mile. Details stay sharp overall. I think the 10mm dwarf is too small for gravity casting; I would need a spin caster to be sure the axe filled up before the metal set. The casted zonion body has too much texture, but from past experiences, I would just need to tweak the temperature a bit more. Happy with the new moulding material overall, so I can try it out on the snow golem soon. Worst case, it will work with resin too.

Looking forward to seeing the painted Boiler pic! And "snow golem" cast

The pics are done. Forget to upload them here though...

Here you are: Brisket with blood and weathering, Boiler, and finally a family shot of the whole starter.

They look great! I think it works for Brisket to be bright, but if you add more models I love the muted skin tone of the captain

Big week to finish stuff.

First, my not-Olaf snow golem sculpting is done. Ready for moulding and casting.

I'm also done with Severius 2. Just need to varnish and take good pics.

Also helped a local player with his Guild Ball with his Fishermen goal. He made the barrel; I'm now doing the tentacles and adding resin water effect to it.

And finally, I started working on my next Butcher model last night, their mascot Princess. Contrarily to her predecessors from that game, she might be done in less than a month... She's almost done in fact, just have some clean up to do on the fur, than the base.

Casting successful for the snow golem! It's not perfect and requires some cleaning, but for a basement operation using gravity casting, it's fine. My good to bad ratio of cast isn't great (those arms... ), but I expected that doing a single piece. Still got about 10 good casts this evening. On to painting one now.

Congrats on casting success!! And oh my gosh, that Fishermen goal is looking so cool, what a great idea ^_^

Fishermen goal and Severius have been done for a while, but I forgot to take finalized pictures before giving them back to their respective clients...

I also finished Princess, my Butchers mascot, ans since that model is mine, I had all the time I wanted to take the picture. That was probably two weeks too long, but here is it finally.

I'm taking a quick break of the butchers to do... some more Guild Ball! Painting my Fishermen starter quickly. Won't do demos with primed models anymore. I'm doing a quicker job with those than the butchers, but I think they will still come out nicely.

Pit bull looks great, and nice to see you doing a few fishermen for demos! Are you a Guild Ball pundit or more of an "activist" . People around here are really enthusiastic about the game.

I've been a Pundit for almost a year now. Was in before the painting requirement, and have been bad at getting my stuff finalized. The game is exploding locally. 4 stores are carrying the game now, and probably over 30 "semi actives" players. Our bi-weekly gaming evening host 10+ players usually, which is pretty good I think, and we (2 pundits) host demos at least weekly.

Got to meet the Severius client at our local store and snap a couple of pictures of the finalised model, as I forgot to take some before handing it over.

Little interlude in my Guild Ball painting to touch up a first warmaster dwarf stand I just got back after years in storage at a friends' place. Painting 10mm is fun. The rest of the army might jump up pretty high in the queue after GB, especially as it's getting played again in the local club.

Finished Angel, the first model done for my demo Fishermen starter.

And started working on some terrain for a tournament I'm running in a couple of weeks.

Another terrain for the GB tournament in progress, a tree stump that will be used as a Obstructions that models fit on. I'll probably mould and cast it to have multiple copies. The form is done, I just need to add the bark texture.

Tiny dwarfs are just amazing and I love the terrain!

The stump is done, and I did my first ever resin casting. Crisp details, light. A lot simpler to do than metal. Some bubbles though, so I can see why degassing is important. Not equipped for that, but I might look into it eventually.

A bunch of stumps, casted and painted. They took paint really well.

I did a bit more work on my Fishermen starter, but they are put on hold now until next week, after the tournament, as they won't be needed, while my Butchers might get used as a back-up force, so my last 4 meat-head are getting a rushed quick coat that I'll finalize later.

You can. I still have some spare casts of it. Just PM me your address, and I'll get you a shipping quote.
