Just won a free Imperial Knight and wanted to test drive him.

The list isn't meant to be good...just fun and cool looking....and because I rarely get to play all four of my dread knights.

2000/2000

People can bring a lot of fliers at 2000. I have a list I run with 6 really nice fliers (3 S-talons, 2 vendettas, and a S-raven), while this is an extreme example, even just having half of the number of fliers would really hurt your list if you can't do anything to them.

So right now they have no table fee of any sort. It was a raffle.

As for Fliers...well, they don't come on until turn 2...so that's a problem. Also, there are very few in my area...very very few, we never bought into the whole flier scheme very much.

But a solid point nonetheless.

hearing a list like that makes me think you dont not got very much on the bored. and also means ur maybe bring a com relay or inquis.
4knights can focus whatevers helping your fliers come in. and the strikes can do there best to kill fliers.
but 4dks sounds like my kind of list

It's not too awful considering he's probably got enough IG units to live for a hot minute.



Anyone think I should deepstrike 3 strike squads with attached inquisitors?

Also should I trade brain mines for 2 halberds somewhere?

Oh, and for my list I have about 4 squads of tac marines and 50+ guard. I don't have the list right here so the numbers are most certainly off, a little higher or lower but should be close. I've never had a problem with having no models on the table, in fact, a good portion survive the full game.

Figured as much, wasn't going to do the whole hypothetical battle thing. I'm sure we'd both have our ups and downs.

So, to reiterate...people think I should deepstrike my 3 troop/hq squads?

It seems the best thing to do to me. Give them nothing but hard targets to shoot at turn 1. bring em in to cap objectives once they're busy with 4 DKs in their dz and the biggestest knight rapidly closing. Errant is the melta variant yes? Because that's definitely what this list should have.

Yes, Grey Knights are my only Imperial Army, so the Melta Cannon was the obvious pick.

Wait... some stores do have table fees? As in they charge people to play there? Is this really a thing? I spend more than enough money on models, hobby supplies, and MTG at my store to even consider paying for a place to play.

im sure its a busy loacl store. if its a gw store idk if they can do that

Agreed. All they want to do is shove product down my throat and guilt me in to buying something. I normally play my 2nd ed Tyranid army there and I don't think they understand that the new Tyranid releases don't belong in my army.

Anyway, congrats on winning the Imperial knight! The list looks pretty solid to me.

I got a good deal on a bunch of NIB Tyranids from 1995ish. They had been sitting in a local gamer's closet since he bought them new and he wanted to save the storage space by getting rid of them. Plus I watch eBay like a hawk
