Nope...

I play three armies regardless of rule set and enjoy the heck outta all of em. Blood Angels, IG, and Thousand Sons.

If the rumormill about "Unbound armies" and a new Psyker Phase noone asked end up being true, I doubt I'll even be playing 7th edition.

I don't foresee the changes in 7th edition to be that significant, but it's hard to say at this point.

Starting a new army won't be appealing to me until I've finished all the unpainted/unassembled stuff I have. Also if I had more money and space for it.

Sekhmet - Dynasty 4000pts Greenwing - 2000pts Deathguard - 1500pts Daemons of Nurgle - 1000pts ~320pts

At least the new codices should all be compatible....then again...

I don't really need anymore armies, just expanding the ones I already have. They're already massive; bloated things anyway.

lol massive and bloated is a good way to describe 6th ed.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

I'd only collect a new army if GW released plastic Sisters.

Yes, this. So much this.
With "Unbound" I think I'm done. I won't be getting 7th.
But plastic sisters are now the only thing I'd be interested in.

Which means I'll never buy another GW product.

I can now be very sure that 7th won't draw me back in thanks to that optional FOC.
Even if the guys in my area weren't powergamers who will abuse the hell out of that its all the indication I need to know the game is heading further in its current direction, which I don't like at all.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

7th edition isn't designed to be played with armies, that's old think, it's designed to be played with collections.

My two armies are collection of various units, so while what I choose regularly might change, I'm pretty edition proof at this point.

The only thing that would change this would be a new faction with awesome fluff and gorgeous models, and that ain't happening.

I duno. I have pretty much doubles of every space marine unit. I imagine land speeder storms and assault marine vets will be the new auto-take next edish.

I don't want to be "that guy", so I'm holding out on final judgment til I have the rulebook PDF... errr, I mean hardcopy in my hands before I decide whether to even bother with 40k. If assault gets fixed and I can house rule out the stupid crap then I can deal with it, but if it's just 6.5 ed then I might not even bother with the upgrade at all and just play some other games... or finish up my homebrew game ruleset and get a 3D printer to begin making the models for it.

Nope, for three reasons:

- I have all the models I need to run CSM, Daemon, IG, Space Marine and Ork armies.

- I don't really like superheavies or fortifications, and can get them on loan if I really felt like I need them.

- People have been selling their armies lately, I bought 2 CSM armies the other day. I now have 8 Heldrakes. Not sure what else I am going to need.

No, and from I've heard (no FOC?) I won't have to use allies shenanigans anymore to use my army, yay. We'll see how my group react and how FW reacts, too.

If the unbound rumors are true, I won't have to buy a damned new thing, as I have all the demons I need to run a true flying circus. All I will take are big stompies with wings, it'll be fluffy and hit like a sack of bricks swung by Hulk Hogan (if flying rules stay similar). Nothing but princes and greater daemons. The nice thing is that I have everything already (but I might pick up another couple princes, just to throw GW a bone).

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Am I buying a new army? Hells no. Quite the opposite. I was beginning a DKOK army, already bought a few things, that's now on hold until I see the new rulebook.

If this is all real I'm actually seriously considering selling my 40k, or at least a large chunk of it. I can't believe GW expects me to pay for another hard cover rulebook 2 years after I bought the other one. And to believe i actually defended GW on here before, bleh.

Anyway, other things calling. No, that doesn't mean I'm open to the Warmahordes and Infinity evangelists, got Bolt Action, Flames of War, Dystopian Wars, Dropzone Commander, X-Wing and hell, even fantasy that I could get into.

Man! I wonder what this is going to end up looking like I guess all formations, even "base" formations, will get special rules. And the alternative will be hodge podge armys like in apocalypse. Sort of a mix of build styles. (though hea is all my figs!!! Is hardly a style )

I had actually been planning for awhile to start a Daemons army, but I'm going to wait until 7e drops and see what they've done with this new psychic phase. Or, if the new starter box has a lot of cool orks, try that (and I can always use more Space Marines).

Considering the almost 80 page long news and rumor thread, I think most people are hoping the same thing. Honestly the only good thing I can see about this is the fact that E-bay will be swamped with cheap models people are getting rid of because of the change.

Everything I say, barring quotes and researched information, is my personal opinion. Not fact.

I may sell off my 40k stuff at that point. Keep a few of my favorite models for display in my game room. Then just stay in for 30k.

I wish we could get some kind of 40k grass roots movement going where we all boycott 40k and buy hobbit or fantasy stuff to really confuse GW's sales and marketing departments, or at least slow down the speed of releases a bit.

Am I starting a new army with the release of 7th? Very probably as the release of 7th edition 40k has encouraged me to start a Flames of War army or Star Trek Assault Wing force.
