Level 4 wizard, horse, bow, Acorn, Lore of Fire
Level 2 wizard, horse, bow, dispel scroll, Ruby Ring, lore of fire
Level 1 wizard, horse, bow, MR2 talisman
3x5 Glade Riders, hagbane arrows
3x5 Glade Riders, swiftshiver arrows
7 Sisters of Thorn, standard and musician, banner of swiftness (The Sorority House)
2x6 Wild Riders, shields, standards
2x10 waywatchers
Great Eagle
Great Eagle
With +1 to cast for being in woods, and the Bonus D3 from the lore of fire attribute, the Sorority House can toss out a huge number of S4 hits. Waywatchers and wild riders provide the heavy armor punching. Lore of fire should give me flaming sword, and several units would love the +1 to wound (including the Sorority House with all those fireballs).
Eagles distract and Glade Riders ambush to come in from all sides (expect the front).
With 4+ ward and MR2 in the Sorority House, most spells are going to get bounced. M10 and fast cav should make it pretty hard to bring the pain on them.

I would go with Trueflight over swiftshiver every time. Otherwise looks interesting

Since all the arrows are on ambushing fast cav, it's unlikely that the trueflight would work at better.
I'll take 2 shots at 5+ over 1 at 3+ all day long.

The two things are identical so base case you are equal with swiftshiver. Otherwise you're better off with trueflight.

They aren't identical. A unit of 5 with trueflight will never score more than 5 hits. While they both may have the same average, Swiftshiver do have the chance for more hits.

Yes you can get more with swiftshiver likewise you are also more likely to get zero hits with swiftshiver. Trueflight is more reliable as it has a lower standard deviation, swiftshiver has a higher maximum potential but is less reliable due to a broader deviant pattern.
Personally I prefer reliability as it helps decision making. Though greater deviation allows more chances to get lucky (something I never do anyway hence my strong preference for reliability). But it is not a significant difference either way and that is best case for swiftshiver. You may want to stay at long range, you may find it difficult to manoeuvre without having one unit in front of another. The enemy could be hiding in terrain or a building. Literally anything that doesn't work out perfectly for you and trueflight are going to be better. Sure this may be a fairly rare occurrence due to being ambushing fast cav but it can happen. With no spells that give bonuses to hit or Bs I just don't see a reason to take swiftshiver.

While i see both points, try think about Matt's view. He has 15 Glade Riders, which means either 15 shots on 3's or 30 shots on 5's. Both result in 10 hits, but the difference between an extra 5 possible hits and an extra 20 is very large, especially when that factors in to more possible usage of those burning blades.

Burning blades would go on a unit of waywatchers. +1 to wound on BS5 (no armor) is great. Or on the sisters to give all the wizard bunkered in it +1 to wound with all the fireballs. Wouldn't really ever cast it on glade riders.
As for the shooting, it's pretty moot. Most likely I'd be better switching to poison on everyone. The number of shots is so small that poison for the higher strength is most likely going to be more useful.
After all, if 3.33 S3 hits is useful, I'd most likely be better off charging.
