Cataphractii Terminators. Can you imagine it? 2+/4++ saves! Abbadon would have his Justaerin warplate, and be nigh-invincible!
And Space Marine super-heavys. I'm sure the Master of the Forge has them hidden somewhere, but where?

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I heard this before. That even with all the awesome different things that each Legion has, they are all balanced. Then I think how can Forge World balance their stuff but it seems to totally oblivious to GW.

Because GW execs are idiots who probably told the designers to make certain things OP to boost sales.

Forgeworld still cares for the game, but GW's board of directors clearly couldn't give less of a feth.

Honestly, if 30k had a bigger player base, I would convert. It would make the money worth it but the problem is and GW knows it that I still like to get together with friends and play more than the rules bother me and that is why house rules are always good.

Funnily enough I have a mate at fw and he told me the heresy stuff is actually starting to outstrip some.of the 40k armies in sales, he told me the bosses were very surprised by the figures and it was one of the contributing reasons why they focussed on heresy over there other lines.

Its not just the rules, you can see a whole lot of effort put into every part of the Heresy. Not to mention the lore... good god its nice to see old school lore and not this Allies and Tau gak

Loyalist elements from the traitor legions and traitor elements from the loyalist legions would be nice. Like, Chaos Ultramarines vs Loyalist Emperor's Children and Chaos World Eaters vs Loyalist World Eaters would be quite awesome.

I would find it ironic if FW stuff started to really take over. I wonder if GW would do anything if it started to really impact sales.

This topic has probably been done before especially with how much people talk about how much cooler technology was back in the time of Horus but I am curious none the less.

So if you could just bring one war item, let it be a vehicle, a unit, a piece of wargear, etc. to add to your current army to make them more fluffy or play like the fluff says they should, what would it be?

For me, and this might seem trivial to some, it would be the shields the Imperial Fists used to use to make the Phalanx. It had a bolter slot and made for more defensive positioning for them and still allowed them to fire their bolters. To me, how can you talk about defenses and a phalanx if you don't have them because some reason you stopped using that shield your legion used for so long. Their flagship is called the Phalanx for emperor's sake!

I have to agree, the shields are super cool!

Cataphractii Terminator Armor. It manages to keep the bulkiness of the Tactical Dreadnought Armor, but it gives it some much needed flexibility and articulation. Plus in World Eater colors it is just cool.
