The latest 40k ork model went from resin to plastic, so I think we're seeing a shift in the way thing are going down the road.

I can't speculate on what's going on with the WE stuff (future plastic, resin or what), but GW is clearly dropping the ball. They should have planned for this.

They have actually acknowledged finecast was a horrible idea and I loosing it like the plague, their going to injection molding now.

You'll also notice they have completely gone away from the name "Finecast" on the website. They seem to realise the name has some pretty bad connotations by now.

As a fun fact, keep an eye out if you do manage to get some Waywatchers.

Apparently the "hooded Waywatcher with bow drawn" is one of the damaged molds and no longer one of the random ones they send. There is one that looks very much like an unreleased test sculpt that seems to have filled its place.
