I prefer to stab them in the face just so they know it's nothing personal. Or have my wolves bite them, that's fun too.

Shooting is safer, Psykers tend to have pointy sticks.

Honestly, I think we will just have to shoot them. Sisters of Battle don't have any psychers ether. But who knows till the new edition is actually out.

My Jetseer council with 2+ re-rollable armor saves 4+ rerollable Invulnerable save with 4 toughness and fleshbane would love to see space wolves try and stab them in the face. I regularly make a mockery of space wolves with them at my FLGS.

Get some psykers as allies to get more DtW dice. Astra Militarum is an interesting and fluffy choice for you

I find this intersting since he should be able to shut down half of your powers every turn.

Sorry, I didn't realize my very vague, general not to mention clearly joking statement was a direct insult to your one unit in one army out of the several available to play. I'll just pack up my stuff and never play again. My apologies.

He does for a little bit but I kill him in the assault phase and seeing as how my initiative is higher not to mention the 24 twin linked shuriken catapults that get fired into their faces before the charge and the 12 hammer of wrath attacks followed by 36 Fleshbane attacks.

Sorry to interrupt, I'm no expert but aren't Hammer of Wrath attacks made when YOU charge? Not the other way around? Not to mention that overwatch of 24 twin-linked shots need to hit first. I'm not saying there's not a good shot of doing some serious damage but the Dice Gods are fickle beings indeed. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

LOL I do the charging or it doesn't happen.

I have the speed to outrun wolves on bikes as well and in the 1500 point list that I play the only other guys they can charge are a wraithknight, a wraithlord, or my Vauls wrath support batteries. Everything else is on a bike and as jetbikes move faster then Space Marine bikes I determine the distance of the engagement.

Thunderwolf cavalry.

They eat eldar.

Literally.

Lord + biker rune priest + unit of t-wolves, priest rolls biomancy, hopefully getting endurance. then you can laugh as your unit of t5 2W 3++ FNP IWND cavalry murdermachines blender through the squishy xenos.

I dont even play wolves and i've seen that unit mulch entire armies, including my "OP WAAC uebernoob farsight tau."

On topic: An allied force of space wolves, consisting of a unit of grey hunters along with a rune priest. The priest's stick turns off ANY power cast within 24" of him on a 4+. He is also a psyker, with access to some very nice book powers (Jaws of the world wolf, living lightning), as well as access to divination, biomancy, and telekinesis BRB disciplines. And as the 6.5/7th/6th redux is out in a week, we'll see how anyone deals with them in due time.

This is pretty much the best advice

I got back into the hobby a few months ago, before I knew that it was going to be the ass end of an edition. As for Psyker defense or Psykers in general...uh... two of my armies have Librarians. Of the armies that my immediate friends play only one of them really makes heavy use of Psykers. I played against some Tzeentch Daemons last week and through some good rolls managed to negate a ton of stuff. But really... there's a whole new edition of rules coming out in, what? Ten days or something?

Yeah... I'd just wait a little bit.

It matters not from whence the weave flows, just that it doooo

I should hope that Wolves bikers aren't a threat to you, considering they're among the worst units in the codex and all.

*Psykers.

Best solution: Blast them apart from the other side of the board with as much firepower as possible.

Horrendous advice considering that tyranids cannot ally with ANYONE.

Seriously though, wait for 7th and see. Rumours are the whole psychic engine will change, then make a call.

In that case Grey Knights.

They have so many goodies to give Psykers and Daemons the finger (were you counting on that screamer star? Here have some psykotroke grenades and dark exocummunication. Have some instant death too while we're at it) and can get allies of convenience with a decent number of armies.

I agree wait and see....

If anyone else saw the Jarvis vid leaked last week it shows alot of that information.

Even as a non psyker army you'll get 1D6 warp charges for dispel purposes, which is not even close enough to deal with heavy psyker armies.

I'd consider some allies like Tigerius (sorry for bad spelling) or Space Wolves for thier psychic hoods, unless they make all psychic hoods the same and do something stupid. Rumor is that Space Marine psykers will be the go to ally because of the psychic hoods.

I just hope Eldar runes of warding do something cool, but I doubt it.

While true, the fact your warp charges is 1d6+ML means you get some sort of diminishing returns, so spamming psykers simply wont achieve much in terms of casting a hell lot, but CAN be used as batteries to assure that a few key spells will be unstoppable.

Right now 2 farseers + 6 warlock can cast 12 powers a turn. IN 7Th that same setup casts 4 of them (4 Warp charges, not powers).

Yeah, i'm sooo scared of massed psykers in 7Th.
