Do gauss weapons auto glance buildings on a 6? Example, Aquilla strong point.

From the new mini-White Dwarf, issue 6:
Q: I was wondering whether anti-vehicle abilities such as Armour Bane, Tank Hunter, Melta, and Haywire affect buildings and fortifications?

A: The simple answer to this question is yes. Armour Bane, Tank Hunter, Melta and Haywire all affect vehicles, buildings and fortifications.
Generally you can imagine this is because experts at targeting weak spots on tanks will be pretty good at hitting the vulnerable parts on bunkers, gun turrets and so on. Likewise, a weapon designed to chew through tank armour will do equally well against armoured walls, while a haywire grenade will scramble the electronics of a Firestorm Redoubt just as easily as a Leman Russ.
So yes, following that precedent Gauss will work as well.

And yes, I am miffed that I now need to buy the weekly White Dwarf (and remember which issue pertains to questions) to keep up with FAQ's.

It's frustrating to try and bring vehicles and buildings when your main opponent is the Necrons. Thanks for the answer even if I didn't like it.

Remember though that Gauss will only cause someone inside to take a Wound with Ignore Cover SR.

In all fairness, necrons have little anti-superheavy weapons, so it kind of balances them out in a way. Kind of like Kabalites and MCs, Necrons and Vehicles.

That's actually what happened, Horus is secretly a Tervigon.
The inquisition doesn't want you to know.

Timmy149,
Most factions do not have any "dedicated anti-heavy" options, how can they when Super-heavies where introduced by supplemental Rules and never addressed in the Basic Rule Book or Vanilla Codex's?
Short of taking a Lord of War option ourselves, or some sort of Massive structure from Stronghold Assault, the best we can do is re-purpose what we have and hope for the best.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

I more mean like lascannon spam and the like, that most other races can do. Badly worded comment, sorry about the misunderstandings.
