I guess shareholders are more important than security...

Phew

EBay's subsidiary, PayPal, said it was untouched by the data breach. PayPal data, which is sensitive because it includes payment information, is kept on a separate network.

"So, do please come along when we're promoting something new and need photos for the facebook page or to send to our regional manager, do please engage in our gaming when we're pushing something specific hard and need to get the little kiddies drifting past to want to come in an see what all the fuss is about. But otherwise, stay the feth out, you smelly, antisocial bastards, because we're scared you are going to say something that goes against our mantra of absolute devotion to the corporate motherland and we actually perceive any of you who've been gaming more than a year to be a hostile entity as you've been exposed to the internet and 'dangerous ideas'. Also done. Glad I use PayPal for everything.

First Playstation, then Schnucks, now eBay?! When will the madness end??

Make them impossible and then write them down on a piece of paper, it's more likely that you'll lose to malware or a hacker than a burglar breaking into you house.

You can write them down in a simple encryption....like 1 key off to the right.

There aint no way someone in a hurry is going to try to break a code.

I always thought it would be fun to make a key that you could use to send encrypted messages

I've let my friends know.

I, personally, am in no danger. I don't use ebay. Or Paypal.

And it's not likely to change in the near future.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I tried to log in but the page is overloaded and they are saying nobody can access their accounts until ebay can catch up with the backlog. Must be pissing some people off royally not to be able to bid on stuff closing today.

If/when I can get logged back in on ebay I'll change my password but I haven't been using ebay much anymore as they keep driving up sellers fees. Feth-em.
