It's not as broken as people think, Alpha Strike lists like Drop Pods and Heavy Ordinance can decimate it. DEDICATED HtH armies can run rough shod on it. So can super duper shooty armies.

All you need is an assault army in their face turn 2. Where exactly are the daemons going to put these hundreds of summoned deepstriking pink horrors if they have to be 12" from the caster and he's surrounded by the enemy?

that perils is REALLY common compared to before and much more nasty.

No they're not. It used to be that if you rolled a double 1 or double 6 on your leadership test, you got perils.
Now you have to roll the double 6 (which is easier if you're using enough dice to make sure the spell goes off) but then you can save yourself the perils by taking a leadership test. I'm guessing the big daemons you'll be using are going to have at least 9 Ld, so you've got a not insignificant chance of shrugging it off now.

I couldn't do that even before they started multiplying like John Travolta's chills.

But not all perils if memory serves me. I think only one of them lets you shrug off the peril. The rest have it happen hard. As per perils, it's actually more common but only for higher cost spells really. Keep in mind you need a 4+ for it to pass meaning successful casts end up with only 6 combinations and that's only if two of them make 4+. We are focusing more upon perils on using the expensive spell maleific. And the ld tests are massive as one just instadeaths your model. (oh daemons not even you can use the warp properly or efficiently)

They're still better off shooting things, especially as they now get 2 Tzeentch powers, and unlike the CSM ones, only Tzeentch's Firestorm is crap. Both Bolt & Gateway can be easily buffed by an Exalted Locus Tzherald, who'll be the better option for taking any Malefic powers... (on top of the mandatory Prescience of course!)

I can agree with people who are saying that summoning isn't as broken, I guess. However, I learned how frustrating it is firsthand to deal with yet more ways for Daemons to improve their invuls to 3+ and 2+.

Welp.
FAQed in a dumb way. I don't know what I was expecting.

At least our local demon player (and a Tzench player to boot!) refuses to cheese it. he actually gotten himself exalted flamers as additional heralds now

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

That's what the Tzheralds are for, because they're not going to change from being Prescience batteries, and can no longer cast their own Flickering Fire if the Horrors cast theirs.

Horrors are shooters, now with double the available powers thanks to Psychic Focus!

How are the getting easy access to 3++?

You can't stack multiple Cursed Earth castings, and you require both Forewarning + Cursed Earth to reach 3++. (good luck getting both from a single caster!)
The Good Book is limited to only 1 copy max, and you can't summon extra copies of it. (even if the original bearer has been killed) And good luck reliably getting the +1 invuln from the Warpstorm table when you really need it!

Sure it's possible, but it's taking some real effort to actively abuse it beyond one or two units.
