That first tank is a KV-1, not a KV-2.
I'm just being pedantic though, good stuff.

You were using photobucket. Many, many people find said image site to be a horrid mess of a website [the dakka gallery's way better]

While the colors are wrong (And I have no idea what weapon that commissar has) it's still a nice paintjob. Well done.

Which colors are wrong? And the Commissar is using grenade and a PPSh-41.

Russian uniforms are more tan than green. And yes, that isnt a PPShh-41. It looks like a futuristic skorpion or something.
Edit: Oh, winter uniforms are green. Well, that is true, but it looks like most of your forces are in summer uniforms which were tan.

I used this for painting my Russians and i gave them all a black wash because i found the color too bright.

Ah, the commissar, i was thinking of the guy with the blue pants. I have no clue what kind of weapon it is.
The miniature is this.

Not sure if it is an alternative universe figure, i just liked it.

Yeah, that painting guide is good for colors but it gets the colors wrong on the summer uniforms too. Painters aren't a good source of historical knowledge on militaria, IMO.

Regarding the colours: there was probably a wide difference between what the regulation colours were and what the factories had available. If you look for pictures of reenactors, they seem to come in a wide variety of colours. Coloured photos of Russian soldiers in WWII, especially the early phases seem to be somewhat rare. And then you have camera technology added to the mix, so even then colours might have been off.

Speaking as a WW2 reenactor and somewhat of a buff on WW2 I can tell you why this is. See, getting a uniform isnt easy because they arent made anymore so you have to buy modern reproductions. These can range from utter crap to fooling collectors. There are a lot of different companies shilling these copies so you end up with a lot of variations within reenacting groups. Each maker has their own interpretation of what Field Grey is and how these things were cut. So, one mans Model 1936 Heer jacket could have a ton of variations from another. This was true of "Made in the Reich" uniforms, especially towards the end, but they tended to look around the same.
As for actual colors while it may have been true that they did vary a little you wouldnt end up with entire platoons in one outlying variant. Uniform shades tended towards a bell curve with most of them being around the same color. One guy may have had a jacket in a greenish shade in a squad but that would be it.
Actually, if you really want to be authentic, especially with Germans, vary the shades a little (And I mean a little) between their pants and their jackets. Matching sets were rare. If you want to get kinky you can vary the shades on... Pretty much everything the Krauts had. They had poor quality control.
By the way, I do not fault wargamers for getting these nuances wrong. Most game companies get them wrong too.
