Subject: how would the Taurox look as a tractor trailer?

Just a thought filed away for future reference, I wonder how the Taurox would look if you leave off the back and attach a trailer there. try and make it look more like a family of civilian vehicles.
Obviously a tractor trailer would be huge, longer than a baneblade, but might make a nice terrain piece and finally answer some of the nagging questions I've had about how the Imperium moves its troops and supplies.
So take this...
from
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Imperial-Guard-Taurox-CHASSIS-AND-HULL-bits-Warhammer-40K-Games-Workshop-c-/281343536983?pt=Games_US&hash=item418161af57
Add wheels instead of tracks of course, as all right thinking people do.
Then find a suitably gothic trailer for it. maybe this?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390655647748?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
And bammo, a truck that can haul a large number of troops or enough supplied for them to actually fight.
Anyone with a Taurox of their own think this might work?
It's a project that will have to wait till after my next big move but I'll add it to the queue.

Exactly, the IG is basically a WWII army in sci-fi trappings so it must have a huge logistics train, food, water, fuel, ammo (for the non-lasguns at least) fresh troops etc.
They can't do it all with chimeras and tauroxen

Sounds like the 'cattle cars' that we where transported around Ft. Lenardwood <sp> back in the early 90's
Over the road tank transport, maybe. Replace the tracks for wheels?

It's not a bad idea. I think fw used to actually make trailers for ig.
Although back in 2nd ed they used to use big ass teleporters IIRC.

It will look better than it does normally to be honest, not seen anyone actually use them and I play against a lot of Mech Guard.

Wheels maybe, tracks are expensive and this is but a humble supply hauler, its not going to need full tracked systems to run on roads laid by penal batalionms or less rugged terrain.
Maybe take out rear troop transport, keep defensive turret and attacht a suitable trailor!?
Maybe shorter by a bit than that within scale and a defensive turret, light weapon like bolter on aft of the traillor as gakxey is tough place.
The tow veichals could be a lorry/gun truck from Vietnam/Iraq mounting bolters or as single hevey weapon like a auto cannon.

I don't know, but I've been thinking about getting one and painting it up glossy black with chrome trim and loads of extra add on light bars, maybe a pair of big hex nuts hanging off a chain at the rear of it.
Brodozer, 40k style.

The other idea floating in my brain is take a Dreadknight
replace the torso with a Taurox cab
glue Taurox tracks to the side of the legs
Taurox smoke stacks to the side of the arms
add a head
paint it red blue and silver and...
TAUROPTIMUS PRIME!
I am so doing that after I move.
