Left his sword at home.

Otherwise it is what it is. Would appreciate the C&C. Thanks guys. This was a fun model to paint. I've got a DA army so I needed a Cypher model to let my opponent use.

if only more people would bring a nicely painted model for their opponent to use...

I thought it would be fun.

Bring something like that for your table mate. instantly make a friend there. "Hey man, here you go. 190 and he is a Pro Killer. Want to use him?"

I'd rather lose and have fun! tempting to field cypher myself!

You should make a 190 point addition to your army who are tasked with tracking Cypher down. A Ravenwing unit would make good sense. That way you both can just drop them into your list and be good to go.

Eldarain - that is a wonderful idea. Thank you. I'm ashamed to say I haven't thought of that. My gosh how that makes sense. Thats a lot.

No worries. Nice work on Cypher. He looks great.

Looks great, especially the plasma pistol.
Any reason you went with DA green instead of the original black for the armour?

Yea here was my thought,

If you read his data slate, the story line gives you the subsurface impression that Cypher is not really a chaos marine, or on the same side as the DA's. To make him even more cryptic, he seems to always advance the Imperium when he makes his presence known. Its a neat read. So in that respect, I thought, give him a choas back pack and make him look like a DA.

Annnnnnddddd..... I knew the color scheme already. Ha

Yeah, in the Dataslate it says that those Dark Angels who fought against Luther's forces on Caliban repainted their armor green.

This is what inspired the DA to switch their scheme post heresy.

Having Cypher appear in green further plays into the ambiguity about his intentions and loyalties.

Cool beans. I guess he could be spreading some mis-information about the DA's or even infiltrating their ranks for some clandestine mission.
I really like the Cypher character, I got him and a robed-retinue the other day off the internet. I haven't used him yet but use the retinue as special weapon command squad.
My mate and I are building a bit of a narrative series of batreps that will hopefully reveal Cypher pulling the strings somewhere down the track.

Mekugi- the dataslate is a GREAT read. So hard to explain it to you. Once you get towards the end you get a feeling that Cypher is really not a bad guy, but more of someone who knows something you don't and one day the pieces will add up, until then...

He's definitely not a bad guy, rogue agent would be a better way to describe him. He is clearly helping the DA on a number of occasions and he knows everything about them and has yet to really impact them in a negative way.

Nice paint job!

Nothing more fun than tabling an opponent

Nice paintwork, and that model, despite being fairly old, looks to have aged really well.

Probably the best way to describe it. He could give up the chapter any time he wanted too, but doesn't. Would love an e-book on him
