I know this may be nitpicking but when I got my razorbacks I noticed that there are two different sides to the top. I know that one looks like a vent exhaust and one that has a closed latch. I was wondering which way should the razorback top be placed. I can't find my assembly guide and for some of you it may not be even something significant but I'm curious is there a specific way that's correct or is it whatever you think looks nice?

For anyone confused this is what I'm talking about

Thank you (in advance)

You can do it whichever way you prefer, but I generally use the different sides for different turrets. The vents would be more appropriate for energy based weapons like lascannons, and the hatch more for solid projectile like bolters.

The one in the picture has a slightly raised opening, which is used for Predators to allow turning of the turret.

I'm not sure what side is used in the Razorback manual, but I think the other side without the raised opening. But it doesn't really matter, though.

You are TFG no matter which you use.

The lowered one is TFG MFA since you become harder to see over terrain. Ditto for the higher one since you can see over terrain easier.

and then there is the option to have the turret forward or at the rear, which you will also make the wrong choice on

This.

The raised ring is designed specifically for the predator turret, to give it clearance to rotate. The razorback turret doesn't need that due to its different configuration.

Having said that, for the actual difference it makes it's not a big deal. Unless you're a stickler for having things assembled 'correctly', just use whichever side you prefer the look of.

I use the vents, personally, because the toothed hatch just looks silly. What's it for? Surely anything related to the weapon (ie ammo) could be handled from inside the Razorback, not requiring someone to climb up on top of the thing to reload it.

As Insaniak said, though; the only correct answer is the one you prefer.
