I really hope this is just maybe a kit release and not a full release there are plenty of other armies needing updating more especially my beloved blood angels, and my space wolves both of which require updating far more than dark eldar.

Good points.
There were these rumors earlier:
the Haemonculi will be a big focus of the new book as the Wraiths were with the Eldar. There is a possibility of the models being a WD release initially. The Wrack kit doubles as a entirely new unit that focuses on chemical weapons.
The Bane have even more exaggerated proportions that looks like it can rip a Dreadnought to shreads bare handed, very cool.
So the incubi double kit (assuming it's a double kit) could be something haemonculi related...
Also on Faeit (yeah I know the source sucks) were some earlier rumors like these:
via an anonymous source on Faeit 212
The following new Haemonculi will be unleashed upon us all:
1) "Bane" type unit. Bigger than a Grotesque but smaller than a Talos.
May be a new character.
2) New Plastic Wracks (5 per box, dual kit). Includes all weapon upgrades.
3) New Plastic Grotesques (3 per box). Includes all weapon upgrades.
4) Plastic Clampack Haemonculus.
No mention of incubi in the earlier rumors...
And where's the DE lord of war or giant kit? If these rumors are accurate, the "Bane" wouldn't be big enough as the Talos isn't all that large...

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

I think it more likely that the Incubi will be a double kit with some kind of ranged variant--or possibly something like the Bullgryn, with some kind of shield and melee weapon wielding bodyguard unit for an Archon?
I could see the Wracks coming as a double kit with the standard Wracks and a Spewing Wrack.
Also interesting thought:
What if the supplement is for a "Corsair Fleet" and Incubi double kit is actually for something like the Bladesworn from IA11?

I'd really like to see plastic Incubi, which means that IF we do get them they will be a terrible duel kit like the shadow warriors or 3 to a biz with barely any options like mega nobs.

Right now the price listed for them isn't too horrible, unless they're a 5/model kit.

Incubi already serve as bodyguards with the current equipment. The ranged variant/Haemonculi unit is more likely.

It isn't impossible that the new Incubi is a 3 man kit if it has full duality....
Min 3 person squad size in Elite units isn't unheard of (and IIRC is already legal for Incubi..)

Yeah but unless they change the size of the models, I doubt it'll be a three-person box. The Grotesque box makes sense as an Ogryn-style 3-model box.

Really?
You're here basically every day, you see what goes on, and you post that?
MANZ are £38 for 3, I have no issue believing that this rumour could reflect a smaller 3 man box with a lot of options at this price. I honestly don't think that's the likely outcome, but I have no trouble contemplating the possibility.

And their rumoured price is almost half that of the MANZ.
I'm still not saying it's what I think will happen, but it amuses me people are responding with "nah, they wouldn't" when they continuously demonstrate that they absolutely will, wont do it gently and do it smiling.

Not really. It's a case of what's more likely.
What's more likey:
1. The current FineCost box of 5 Incubi gets replaced by a box of 5 plastic Incubi.
2. The current FineCost box of 5 Incubi gets replaced by a box of 3 Incubi, and the Incubi are changed in size/changed significantly to justify the smaller model count?

The Daemon Possessing Fulgrim's Body

Or the kit is dualised with a hitherto unknown unit, and the huge number of extra bits, many of which will be redundant once the kit is built, used to justify the higher price per model.
EDIT
Most new plastic infantry kit for some time have been dual build, or had loads of alternate bits, at least that I can recall.
5 man, elite, units are at a higher price point (thinking Sternguard, Witch Elves etc)
So this either makes it a "pure" 5 man kit, with just the basics, which would be a real step back in time for GW, or it's a dual/multi option kit with fewer bodies.
I wouldn't like to speculate which is more likely right now.
EDIT 2
Actually, after posting, I remembered the IG Stormtroopers box, so I guess a 5 man box with a million ultimately useless bits at this price isn't without precedent, so I expect that's what it'll be.

$30 for 5 incubi isn't really that bad. That's what price they were when they originally came out in metal back in 2010. $45 for five Finecast models is a fething joke, so if the plastic sculpts are just as good (or the same) then that's a huge improvement over what's available now.
$81 for the bomber however is just plain stupid. It would have to be a massive kit indeed to justify that price, but I'm imagining it won't be much bigger than a heldrake. Honestly I don't think it'll be much bigger than the razorwing. The razorwing was about $40 at release, the Eldar flyer is comparable in size (even kinda looks the same) and costs a whopping $65, so $80+ seems like the "logical" progression if you're assuming GW is bumping the price up every year.

Maybe they'll actually make Wracks/ Grotesques a viable option.
Currently there are far far too many cheaper and better units to take. I love their concept, but you can deal a lot more damage taking other units.

My predictions:
Incubi: 2 handed weapon and one handed weapons with a few special weapon options ala Wyches/WG.
Wracks: Same sort of idea.
Grotesques: As now and 'bane' style mini.
Bomber.
Bigger Talos style thing ?
They'll drop 2 special characters and nerf some gak (haywire and reavers most likely)
