Hi everyone,

I'm just now switching to 7th edition and got told that there are quite some new shenanigans coming from that edition. An example is the new rules for chariots resulting in the Necron CCB resurrecting with the driver.

So, my question is: has someone found a comprehensive list of these? I haven't found something with the search, so maybe we should start this as a thread if there is no standard resource for this.

Regards,
Murenius

My armies:
Eldar
Necron
Chaos Space Marines
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights

Overall, 7th is going to be much better than 6th as far as Shenanigans are concerned.

No, it's going to be just as bad, maybe even worse. The main difference is that the shenanigans have shifted from the Xenos side to the Imperial side. But now, you have knight titans and Lords of War thrown into the mix along with daemon summoning everywhere and easy access to Invisibility for many armies.

This is pretty much my Orky response to any special Imperium rule:

"Space Marines, that's all you have to say".

The amount of BS the average marine gets is insane.

I mean, most people I play against call serious shenanigans on my wave serpent. (Singular BTW. More than one just seems mean) But that's not exactly new.

You have a point. I was thinking in reference to the Codices and Rules in general, LOW definitely brings a metric ton of crap to the table, but I doubt the community as a whole will allow unregulated buffing of SHVs and GCs for long. No one wants SHVs that can repair all HP damage in one turn, or invisible GCs etc. I do see tons of potential here to be a problem, but LoWs are broken in general and ban lists and house rules are already in place and will almost universally be widespread almost immediately.

The Imperial Brofest will bring plenty of Shennanigans, but Psychic powers being less reliable this edition should help. MSUcentric Objective Secured should help. I just don't see the Imperial BBs doing worse than SM +BuffCommander or SM + Eldar or Eldar +Tau we say in 6th. Screamerstar is gone, FMC spam was neutered, SeerStar and BeastStar is weaker ,but still good. At least Imperial 2+ Rerollable is primarily limited to CC, not vs shooting.

Time will tell, but and you may be right about the edition in general and I concede your point about the LoWs. I'm still hoping the community just outright bans SHs and GCs from tournaments..... and hope is a curse....

I don't think the imperial brofist is going to bring about anything that we didn't already see in 6th. GK allies don't bring anything close to a gravstar.
I agree that buffing LOW could bring some new pain, but I also agree with Zagman that the likely balance fixes for these are relatively easy and unobtrusive.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

As a marine player I can tell you, Marines really aren't good....

Marines have no obvious glaring overpowered units, outside GK that is. And thats how armies SHOULD be balanced.
But they have a lot of nasty things regardless, they just take some level of tactical use to actually function properly.

I have both seen and faced many marine lists of various codices that kicked my sorry butt, as either orks or tau. I wouldnt say i play perfectly, but im no idiot so atleast most of the reason i lost was the other player not my own blunder.
