Every Space Marine player knows you can never have too many HQs (I own about 15 captains, 6 Librarians, 5 Chaplains and a lot of Special Characters... I don't have a kitbashing addiction )

A box like the Strike Force for Wolves would be pretty cool, you spend a bit more but also save more, and a new player gets much more utility out of it than a battleforce. It also means that for those looking to sell bits off to recoup some of the cost, you have a lot more options.

Fair point Hopefully they will do something like that. Maybe it can have a Rune Priest since the campaign box comes with a Lord.

It depends on who your agent is. I suppose its like anything else - keep good relationships and you get better treatment.

My experience with them anyway.

Do they have the same release dates than GW ? I was browsing their GW stock and it seems they missed some newly released Ork stuff

The box artwork seems like a new low.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

I've never actually bought anything from GW direct, what time/day(US time) do preorders come up?

I did the time zone converter on google and 7pm London is 5pm on the east coast if I did it right. Site says you can place your pre-order on Friday.

lol, another "set" where the marines get favoured heavily.

Looks like they shoved the excess returned Gretchin and Kans stock....

The Ork "force" is moronic

Well if you are speaking competitive, the only unit in the SW force that would be is the 5 Grey Hunters. Blood Claws and Terminators aren't.

Obviously if you aren't buying this for the Campaign itself, the SW force allows itself to be more useful due to switching the Bloodclaws to Hunters. Though at that point you could have simply ordered a Space wolf box for 37ish bucks instead.

As a whole I think it's an interesting box.

I like the artwork, although there is something about the current red and black 40K styling that just doesn't work for me.

The Blood Claws can just be built as Hunters or Wolf Guard instead, though.

I am speaking what's in the box vs whats in the box.

It's stupid. Why can't they just put in balanced forces?

Interestingly the Space Wolves Battleforce has been purged from the US GW store. Not even listed as no longer available but just gone completely.

I was really excited about this at first. Then, the more I think about it, the less enthusiastic I become.

RULE BOOK Really want one, but honestly I have the BRB and the mini rulebook will show up again in the DV starters.

ORK FORCES I've said it multiple times, and I'll say it again, this Ork list looks like the worst sellers list for Orks.
Nobz are great for Konversions, especially if you using the new Freebootaz, but any Ork player worth his salt probably has more Nobz than he'll ever use from all the AOBR Orks they bulked up on.
Kanz are less desireable in 7E than there were previously, but if your intent on buying them, this is probably the way to go.
Grotz are basically cheap filler. You need to be some special breed of Oddboy to want tonz of grotz, outside of needing some new crew for the Mek Gunz you should be converting.

SPACE WOLVES FORCES If you want to play Space Wolves, this isn't bad, as both a starting point, or reinforcements. Although, you may be hard pressed to putting the terminators to work, if you already have an established army.

If you can sucker a friend into geting one as well and trade the opposing forces so you have twice as many of the same force, then you make out okay.

Because Space Marines are the biggest seller, so they have to let Little Timmy play heroic badass Viking Wolfmen and beat the crap out of ugly green guys.

They will never be balanced because they are pushing an agenda. Dark Vengeance was heavily biased towards the Dark Angels as well.

Long Jetty, The place is a dump

I agree with some of the above, what a disappointment as an Ork fan, the only thing I would love are the Killa Kans as I am trying to complete my Killa Kans Squad of 6.

But I have done the maths and can get the box set cheaper individually from online retailers than in the box format and well under the $190 Australian including postage.

Pity.

It's safe to figure if you're doing this it's because you want the kanz and the rulebook.

You're basically getting the Nobz and Rulez for free, when you buy the Kanz and Grotz.

Sure, any other Ork box set instead of the Nobz and Grotz would have made this a better deal, but as I sadi before, I suspect this is a way to get rid of slow moving inventory.

Also, it's probably better than buying another Dark Vengance if you don't plan on playing Dark Angels or Chaos.

I totally agree, these are probably the three slowest moving products they've got. I guess you could say that they went along the same lines w the SW force too - I mean ofc there's the wolf kit (no other SW specific troop kits) and then the termis are quite possibly the slowest moving product besides fenrisian wolves (they couldn't've just included them...). And ofc this is a better deal than DV if you're not playing CSM or DA.

Wolf Guard Terminators and the Grey Hunters/Blood Claws boxes are actually some of their better sellers.

Like I said, the GH kit is an auto-include because there's simply nothing else to choose from. However regarding the WGTs, I think it would be up for debate as to whether it's them or the thunderwolves that are the slower sellers (behind fenrisian wolves). Certainly in my area anyway.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

What a poorly designed car. The unnecessary ammo belts block vision, a jolt to the let or right will see you hitting your head on that box thing between the driver and passenger seat, the hand-rails are clearly insufficient for holding onto whilst the car is moving at any real speed (especially if that thing at the back is a jet engine!) and I can't for the life of me figure out what the guy at the back is holding onto. The guy pointing, does he think anyone can hear him over the sound of a twin-linked minigun and a jet engine? And just what is the guy hanging on the other side firing. The gun's tied to a backpack... but why?

That and poor Thresher looks like he's desperate to break out of the box.

But for the record, the cover doesn't remind me of a G.I. Joe toy. The cover looks fine.
