But for the record, the cover doesn't remind me of a G.I. Joe toy. The cover looks fine.
The style is similar, all the gi joe packaging had the firestorm style background, neon level saturation and exaggerated perspective. The graphic design is similar too.

The ammo will be gone soon enough,
The block thing is an optical illusion , its on the outside of the car
Dreadnoks handcuff people to things so handle bars are not really too important
Ripper is holding on to Buzzers ass obviously in a delusional belief that that might save him

Torch is firing his oxy-acetylene cutting torch like a gun cause...he ...can do that.....cause.........hes.......(waves hands vaguely) magic?

I think the Space Wolves will go fabulously with some Statuesque Female Heroic Heads to make some Space Viking Amazons, which is pretty much all I needed to know.

RULE BOOK Really want one, but honestly I have the BRB and the mini rulebook will show up again in the DV starters.
ORK FORCES I've said it multiple times, and I'll say it again, this Ork list looks like the worst sellers list for Orks.
Nobz are great for Konversions, especially if you using the new Freebootaz, but any Ork player worth his salt probably has more Nobz than he'll ever use from all the AOBR Orks they bulked up on.
Kanz are less desireable in 7E than there were previously, but if your intent on buying them, this is probably the way to go.
Grotz are basically cheap filler. You need to be some special breed of Oddboy to want tonz of grotz, outside of needing some new crew for the Mek Gunz you should be converting.
SPACE WOLVES FORCES If you want to play Space Wolves, this isn't bad, as both a starting point, or reinforcements. Although, you may be hard pressed to putting the terminators to work, if you already have an established army.
If you can sucker a friend into geting one as well and trade the opposing forces so you have twice as many of the same force, then you make out okay.
I am not sure I agree with your characterization of the ork side. Kans are still good choices. They are an easy platform for a grotzooka or rokkit and fairly priced at 50 points. THey just aren't quite as good as they used to be.
Gretchin are seeing more play with me than ever, and any ork modeler worth anything buys gretchin with decent regularity. Even if you aren't fielding them as troops (which you really should not to get those additional FOC) you can put them on bases or use them as riggers.
Nobz aren't a great choice since there are heaps of them around, but the kit is awesome and can be used with a flashgitz box to get up to 10. THe real star here is Grukk. If you are a completionist and that is the only way to get him, you need to get him.
H.B.M.C. wrote: And just what is the guy hanging on the other side firing. The gun's tied to a backpack... but why?
Best part? That's Torch. His weapons is basically a flamethrower. Yeah... they have a guy using a flamethrower, on a rocket powered car, right next to the ammo belts for dual miniguns.
This ladies and gentlemen? This is why Cobra loses all the time.

Going to disagree with you on basically every point here.
Kanz aren't great. They're easily the worst of our Heavy Support choices. 50 points for a rocket? I can get a buggy for half the cost, and it gets to outflank. Sure, it's BS2 instead of 3, but it's twin-linked where the Kanz aren't.
I have 0 grots in my army. No, wait, I have 1. The grot gunner on by Burnabommer. I'd rather field more Boyz if I'm trying to open up a new FOC, since we still need plenty of those to get the (various) jobs done.
Nobz? Are they mega or bike? No? Pass. They're not horrible in CC or anything, it's just that just about every role they would fill can be done better (and usually cheaper) by some other unit.
All that said, I'm still going to order this set. I'm just realistic about what I'm getting: 2 unique characters, and a bunch of models (for both armies) that likely will stay on sprues for ages.

Krom Dragongaze is a great model but since I play as Sven Bloodhowl's great company, I'm trying to figure out how to kitbash him into a good Sven. The obvious first part is replacing his pistol with another CC weapon (Sven favors CC) painting rune tattoos on his neck and maybe even face (Sven has his entire body tattooed with runes) and I'm thinking about green-stuffing fire coming out of his mouth with maybe a new head on the model. His great company has been known to spit fire using tricks with alcohol and stuff, but I just don't know if it will look too cheesy to have the model spitting fire.
I know its sorta off topic (But not really because its about a model in this box) but if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it.
Also I want a narly awesome base for him. Trying to figure out how to raise him up so there is no doubt that this great warrior marching into battle is the great Sven Bloodhowl and no other person is above him.
I WANT MY HANDS ON THIS MODEL RIGHT NOW!!!

That really cool looking art, that must have taken lots of work from a really talented artist.. .. and they go and stick pictures of fething miniatures arranged like a 7-post P&M blog on the front cover of White Dwarf.

You mean, GW? Because I'm pretty sure they posted that on their main web page.

Then Natfka echo'd it with 'rumors'.

Heh, never saw that. Anyhow, my FLGS owner was chatting with me on a couple of the battleforces he still had in stock, and we just got to talking about packages in general, and he was telling me about the line. I am rather curious which one the Tyranids will wind up fighting.

Tyranids vs Orks for Octavius, possibly, as battle for Macragge and Iyanden has covered before a wee bit.

Iyanden might actually be neat as a box: Eldar v. Tyranids. Although I think it's more likely that these will be "new" campaigns that haven't been touched on in the lore. I don't recall this "Sanctus Reach" being mentioned previously.
Sadly I get the feeling that every box will have Marines of some variety, since GW panders to Marines above everybody else.

Hey, that was my first G.I. Joe ever! Somehow, my 6 y. o. self thought strapping a jet engine and two miniguns to half-a-TransAm was a brilliant exercise in vehicular design.
For the record, I don't find the cover GIJoe-ish either. But the perspective is odd and that Ork's face looks... wrong.

Kids aren't weighed down with the pesky concerns of physics which is why G.I. JOE is so awesome. My 6 y.o. self would high five your 6. y.o. self over the car mounted jet engine too.
Like in the animated movie when Chuckles throws one of the H.A.V.O.C.'s missiles at a H.I.S.S. tank and destroys the tank. That is brilliant!

The Krom mini is really nice. Looks like it is setup to be good with conversions.
