But they're also comping (by restricitng the LoW allowed) the main event. And they posted that outright instead of stealthily rejecting every list with a TC'Tan, Harridan, etc.
That's my point. If you're evaluating and rejecting lists, just post that rejection criteria. There's literally no reason not to unless you actually have none and you reject based on feelings - which is what I dislike. I won't "get used to it" I'll stop showing up to those events.

Here is all of the information we have from an "alleged" major GT: Mike Kiser won w/ Scars/Iron Hands bikes
I've asked for a review of the round by round and final scoring for the event, as I believe a minor data entry error occurred.
This would change the overall 1 and 2 positions (barely). As a result it would be Necrons (ghost arks and foot immortals w/ no command barges) winning.
Likely any delay on publishing is related to this request as the physical paperwork needs to be looked over, and people's personal lives / jobs come first.
Well, if people really care about accuracy and armies for the event, I am pretty sure Chumb and I gave incorrect data when we finished the last round (I should have won 15-12, not 14-13....I got first blood, not him). We were both tired. That would have tied my daemons for 3rd in battle points at 100, instead of tied for 4th at 99. Just FYI...doubt it matters now.

Don`t hold your breath on that.
A friend and I went undefeated in the 2s tournament in 2012 with 2 massacres and didn`t place in the top 10. When I asked to see the scores, I got tossed around/brushed off for a while, then told there had been an error and they were fixing it, then brushed off some more until I just gave up.
I understand running a GT is a lot of hard work, and gak happens, but every WGC I went to, or talked to someone who had, there were numerous issues with how it was run. Not to say the events weren`t a damn good time, but I think the crew running it needs to either scale things back to a more manageable level, examine who`s got what jobs, or how they have people put in information because somewhere along the line they`re clearly having issues.
Hey I was there and played in the 40k Narrative. We covered it in our latest Podcast (Link Below). As stated previously day one was fun it consisted of lots of Kill Team Games. Day two was a little rough as there were some balance issues on the Apoc table but Day three was total win and some of the most fun I've had in a while. I will go back next year. I trust the BOLS staff to make adjustments and present a good show. If what they are offering is not your style of play there are plenty of other tournaments out there for you to attend. I think that is how things are going to roll in 7th ed. Shop around till you find what you like and show your support with your money.
This is one of those threads where people come on to lambast the TOs for whatever grudge they have. I think transitioning well to seventh edition is a huge challenge.

I think that given the right judges, "black box" comp based on feel can do a better overall job at reining in abusive builds than rigid comp systems. As soon as you codify and share all the grading criteria, you create loopholes and inequities, and the game-within-the-game of beating the comp system.
Obviously very few players like the lack of transparency involved with that type of comp (or paint) judging, which is completely understandable.
