Farseer: Spear
SpiritSeer:
5 wraithguard- dscythe, wave serpent
5 fire dragons - wave serpent
10 guardians - bright lance, wave serpent, warlock
10 guardians - bright lance, wave serpent, warlock (spear)
2x wraithknight
All serpents have scatter laser, shuriken cannon, holofield
I want to avoid dire-avenger spam for fluff. Considering replacing 2x guardians and fire dragons with 3xstorm guardians with 2x fusion gun each for fluff and profit. Thoughts?

Looks solid. Guardian defenders provide more of the infantry killing dakka you need, I would not swap them for storm guardians. Storm guardians are better against all targets, cost the same with 2 fusion guns, but die easier and lack the sheer AT power. If you put a spearlock in the squad they can pull some decent AT while still having CC and pistol dakka.
Take accordingly.

Looks good. I've never seen a list like this before. What unique tactics are planning to use?

Dr. Serling: Thanks for the feedback. I assume you are comparing storm guardians to fire dragons in the 3rd and 4th sentences?
cm32: I'm brand new to eldar, and fairly new to 40K. As I understand it, this is a fairly typical eldar build, but with guardians instead of avengers for ulthwe flavor.
I base my list and tactics from this thread:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/601763.page
In my version, after I pop tanks, the wraithguard can template their occupants. And the warlocks can potentially buff their guardians, who may be able to contribute a little more than a min squad of dire avengers.
Mostly I like the Ulthwe paint scheme, and sorta dislike avenger models.

Got a match in this weekend, vs a 30K(!) list. Guy playing forgeworld pre-heresy marines. Lost 9-2 (I linebroke and firstblooded him). Now I know how the emperor forged his empire.
The wraithknights did ok. One got killed by a lucky ID hit. The other shot some stuff, lost three wound, ran into combat to live longer, and ground down 16 marines before eventually dying.
Wraithguard did awesome. Their spiritseer got invis, so they ran around flaming marines with impunity all game, killing approx 20.
Serpents did pretty good knocking hull points off his support tank and stormraven, but ultimately all got charged or shot to death.
Fire dragons went for their suicide run, failed to destroy his ceramite? (ignores the melta rule) land-raider, and set themselves and their serpent up to be multicharged. The rest of my army failed to ground his ceramite? storm-raven, which resulted in two more serpents and a wraithknight getting multicharged (this is where the ID happened).
Part of the problem is me being a fantasy player, and forgetting multicharges are a thing. The other part is fire dragons not being able to do their job. So I'm gonna try replacing the dragons with brightlance walkers (which fit the fluff better also). I was also annoyed by fearing to move my serpents through ruins. As such, revised list:
Farseer: Spear
Spiritseer:
Warlock: Spear
5 wraithguard: dscythes, serpent
10 guardians: lance, serpent
10 guardians: lance, serpent
Serpents have: scatter laser, shuriken cannon, holofield, ghostwalk matrix.
3 walkers: 2xlance, holofield
2x wraithknight
Plan at present is:
- Hug cover with everything
- mount up and scatter if enemies get close
- guide/prescience the walkers to kill heavy armor
- Serpents target light-medium armor, then troops.
I've got 5 points to play with by my count. If I drop the spears, warlock, serpent matrices and walker holofields I have 125 points to play with. I kinda like the potential for 3+ or better cover saves across the board though.
