Here's a pic of the Afghan Pathans that I've been working on of late for a demo game that will be on at Partizan 2015 (May/June).

I've got quite a long way to go before I get to the stage where I've got enough mini's painted up for the demo but publishing one's work is always a great way of pushing one's self. Oh, I've got to make the terrain too which I'll be posting pics up of along the way as well as pics of the Pathans as they progress followed by the British and Indian armies!

I've had a lot of fun painting them up and I hope that you enjoy the pics too- many more quality pics can be seen on my Just Add Water Blog here:

In the meantime here's a taster of what you can see on my Blog:

Cheers,
Darrell.

I'm from the future. The future of space

Some time I'm going to take a vacation to the UK during a good time for gaming conventions and see all these sort of games in person. While there are some small conventions where I am, they're usually 30 person affairs with a local shop being the only dealer.

I love the black lining and clean highlights on the miniatures.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Look very nice, great to see some miniatures from a less commonly represented period of history in wargaming.

Wonderful paint job though - looking forward to seeing this thread updated, especially with terrain etc!

Frozenwastes - yes think you should definitely plan a UK tour. Some conventions here that are well worth the trip, and you could probably combine it with some museum trips and whatnot if you are a military history buff.

How big is the game for Partizan going to be? How many more of these guys to go?

Did you add more highlighting from when you showed the gloss pictures on your blog, or was it just the gloss hiding your work?
