Greetings fellow Warbosses! This will be my first tournament in a few months and my first ever tournament up against the upper tier players at my local shop. I expect to be playing against some serious Eldar, Tau, Imperial, and Necron armies. This is the list that I've put together so far using double CAD and the Blitz Brigade formation.

2000 points of Orks:

Formation - Blitz Brigade 850

5x Battlewagons with Ram, Grot Riggers, 4 Rokkits, Killkannon

CAD 1:

Mega Armored Big Mek. Twin Linked Shoota, Bosspole, and Da Finkin Kap. Warlord. 93 points.

Mega Armored Big Mek. Bosspole and Da Lucky Stikk. 105 points.

18 Shoota Boyz + Nob with Klaw, Bosspole, and Twin Linked Shoota. 175 points. (TL Shoota is because I had spare points)

18 Shoota Boyz + Nob with Klaw, Bosspole, and Twin Linked Shoota. 175 points.

9 Tankbustas + Nob with Bosspole and Big Choppa. 150 points. (Big Choppa is because I had spare points)

10 Lootas. 140 points.

10 Lootas. 140 points.

CAD 2:

Painboy. 50 points.

Painboy. 50 points.

10 Grots. 35 points.

10 Grots. 35 points.

Strategy:

Big Meks go with the Lootas, Painboy with the Boyz, Tankbustas alone, and the Grots holding down the fort in my deployment zone. Ever thing except for the Grots go in a Battlewagon. I will play the army as a mobile shooting force with Relentless Lootas. Turn 5 I will assault with whatever I have left alive for the sake of contesting objectives. Please let me know what dakka thinks of this list. I would thrown in the Bullyboyz but I don't have the models for it.

Side note:

Sorry for any problems with the formate of this thread, I'm posting from a phone.

Not sure this could work. Doesn't a killkannon reduce the transport capacity to 12?

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).
Keep on rolling

woops. Totally missed that cuz im away from my codex right now. Maybe I could foot slog the Boyz and put the Grots in the Wagons so I can grab forward objectives at the late game.

Good idea. Most opponents would not be expecting that.

By trimming the fat, and two boyz, I put Meks in the Wagons with the grots. I'll try it out this week, if it doesn't work then I will rewrite the list with the boyz staying in the Wagons in mind.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

You can't take both the Lucky Stikk and the Finkin' Cap in the same army man.

Does that formation give you objective secured?

I would like to see a unit of mek guns myself. But I converted mine a while ago. 3 bubblechuckas and 2 traktor kannons for hordes and flyers respectively. Worked great for me so far, and you can just drop a loota squad to make it fit.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

I almost think you should drop the killkannons entirely. Then you can go back to your original plan of having all those boys inside. You could use the left over points for some deff koptas or buggies for more rokkit goodness. Or you could fill in your anti-flyer weakness with some mek guns or a dakka jet.

how i would run it would be drop the kill kannons put the boys inside but make them slugga boys as the point of the of the formation is to give the battlewagons scout which gets yous boys up the board faster . drop 1 bigmek for a warboss so you get to call a waaagh and bam boys are wrecking face turn 2.

also if your running the blitz brigade it means you have the gaz supplement. so i would give your other big mek the mega forcefield and stick him with your lootas. having one of the sacariest shooting units with 4+ invul is frikken scary.

He doesn't technically have to run the big meks from the ghaz supplement. The battlewagons are a fromation from it that he could take with the regular combined arms detachments that he is running. Personally, I think the CAD is better than the ghaz. Being forced to issue and accept challenges with your warlord sucks. Getting higher than average hits on the mob rule sucks a little. The tellyporta strike is cool, but not that usefull when everything is supposed to be riding in battlewagons. CAD at least gives him objective secured.

Indeed CAD is better than Ghaz (if I wanted to play safe) because of the Objective Secured, but the Ghaz Supplement does give me some nice Relics. I'm still playing around with the list building to see what I can do but I'd like to keep some Killkannons because of their fire power. Maybe only include them on the Busta/Loota wagons so the boyz can move 12" and shoot how they want.

New List:

Blitz Brigade:

3 Battlewagons with 4 Rokkits, Killkannon, and Grot Riggers
2 Battlewagons with 4 Big Shootas and Grot Riggers

CAD:

The same 2 Big Meks but without the TL-Shoota
1 Mek

2 mobs of 17 Shoota Boyz, 2 Big Shoota Boyz, and 1 Bosspole Nob (no CC upgrade)

10 Tankbustas and 1 Bosspole Nob

3 Deffkoptas with TL-Rokkits
5 Warbikers with 1 Bosspole Nob

2 mobs of 10 Lootas

Strategy:

Big Meks with Lootas, Mek with Bustas, Shootas in the Shoota Wagons. No Grots of Painboyz this time.

i dont know if you reflected this in your points, but the wagons in the blitz brigade must have rams or rollas.

i think you're really going to miss the pain boys!!

I don't know all the rules for the blitz brigade.

So I won't talk about that. Why put your Meks in Mega Armor? It will slow the unit down if the get taken out of the Wagons. I also think you would be better off taking more tankbustas then Lootas. I also think the bikes are out of place with the list.

I had a similar idea in mind when I found out about the Blitz brigade. But as I haven't been able to get the supplement yet I have not messed around with a list.
