My theory on the chariot is that the wolves aren't so much pulling it as they are being used as attack wolves. That's why they have the collar around the middle. The sled can move under its own power and the wolves are just brought in to bite stuff but that's just my theory.

Nope. They're pulling it, pay attention to the brace from under the sled, and the attachment to the wolves, just like a horse and carriage.

I was looking on my phone so I couldn't get a clear enough picture. I'm not entirely sold on it though, So far in terms of the new models to buy, for me anyway, it's Stormwolf > Venerable Dread > Logan Claus

I'm still holding out hope that you can make Logan into a generic wolf lord in termie armor, but I doubt it...

Why?

Look at the Bullgryn box. It included the parts to make Nork Deddog in addition to everything else.

We've seen no info for it, and I believe the Warseer guy said there was no new models for generic characters...

Just realized that sled (not the T wolves) would make an awesome spacewolf bike. Now who wants to buy a fleet of these and use them as bikes?

Logan looks fine, but his sledge looks like a carnival float...I think the Dreads are the best models this time round.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

I'm trying to figure out if I want the Long Fang edition or not.

I may just buy the regular dex, data cards and two dreads. Twould save me about $130.

Maybe if I could find someone that would be willing to sell me their coin objectives....Really all I care about in the deluxe sets.

Then I'd be set!

Did we not yet get the rules for Bjorn or did I just miss them?

Santa Logan is pretty stupid. I'm undecided whether it's sufficiently stupid to be an amusing joke and undecided whether I'm willing to pay money for something that is just a stupid joke We'll see.

For all the Santa jokes, there had better be some conversion pics by the time Christmas rolls around.

Also, I hope that space chariots being pulled by X doesn't become a trend. I don't want a Necron super-chariot being pulled by Wraiths or something.

I haven't watched them through yet but hopefully some nice up close shots of the assembled model in there

You should watch them before assembling the model, he gives some good tips on the sub assemblies and glues.

I'm always amazed that he is able to produce a decently painted GW model using the cheap nylon GW brushes. Personally I find greater control in dipping my thumb in paint and smearing it over the model. I wouldn't be surprised if each time they cut he swapped out for a Rosemary & Co or a Windsor & Newton.

GW has officially run out of ideas. In a world where the previously anonymous Alpha Marines can now be distinguished by silly hats, this is yet another step towards the abyss of ridiculousness. Seriously... Santa Logan with his sleigh driven by Rudolph the Red Nosed Thunderwolf. Sigh... I'm calling it right now. Blood Angels have lots of jump packs. The Easter Bunny hops alot which is a type of jump. The Blood Angels will in that case have a monstrous creature with large ears that carries the coagulated blood of Sanguinus not in a chalice but a basket.

Actually, this shows that they have plenty of ideas. Just not ones that you like.

What are those, who makes them, and where can I order a few?

They're slightly modified Juggernauts that I use as Thunderwolf Cavalry in my Iron Wolves army.

I now want this, as well as a Jack Frost inspired rune priest, and the rest of the "Rise of the Guardians" cast as an unbound army. Also, very much contemplating using a santa/sleigh combo as a proxy for this till i get the $.

I don't dislike the chariot model. It pretty much is what I'd envision a 40K chariot to look like. The fact that such things are built however is another story.

What I am looking forward too however is those who get multiple of these for their various wolf lords and then hawk the Logan figure on Ebay. That is how I'm hoping to get a hold of one for about 20 bucks.

So its not the model, nor the price that will keep me from getting one, but rather the rules. I doubt Logan even with chariot will be LOW worthy much like Gazzy. Add to the fact I don't run Logan in my lists anyway is another reason all together. And I'm having reservations that a chariot lord will be significantly better than a TWC lord to warrant the transition.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

The Venerable Hare of Sanguinus has no equals. It has acute senses and ignores night fighting (because of the big ears) and has a basket shaped grenade launcher plus a jump pack to let it hop. If GW rips off my idea, I'll be quite miffed.

Well, we agree on that last part. At least FW still hits the occasional home run with models the Gal Vorbak and some of the primarchs.

Please somebody tell me that Grey Hunters can still use bolter, bolt pistol, and a ccw. I have some GH models with a combination of all 3 plus some with plasma pistol and power fists and want to make sure they are still playable.

Holy crap. That wolf sled is terrible in every possible way.

I mean. Wow. Oh wow. All the things you could make, and that's what you pick.

I expect a Dreadnaught surfing on a landspeeder if they ever get around to making White Scars, now.

Upcoming 40k themed skirmish game: Aun'Va versus Logan Sled Racing. Downloadable paid DLC rules for Necron chariots. GW is hip with the times. First they'll copy Christmas then Mario Kart.

Because it's "Interactive". Now if only they could make a digital codex that could answer questions for you, we wouldn't need FAQs anymore.
