Shred City.

My issue is space. Thankfully I make good money and everything, but I just don't have the space to store any more armies. I have 7 now, and they're all VERY large.

My hobbies are:
-Playing computergames (currently, Crusader Kings 2)
-Sailing (currently lacking boat)
-Mountainbiking (currently lacking a mountain, so more like forestbiking)
-Reading (currently the whole ASoIaF series)
-Learning languages (currently, French and Frisian)
-Surfing on the internet without real purpose (silly forums and porn )
-Miniatures and Wargaming (Warhammer and Warhammer 40k, Dystopian Wars, Flames of War and constantly looking for interesting new miniature ranges)
And that is before taking school, job and social life in consideration.
So yes, I have way too many hobbies, I barely have time to do them all, wich leads to me never finishing books, computer games or painting a miniature army. I always start something new before finishing the old.
I also seem to be unable to throw stuff away (might still be useful one day!), so my room looks like some warehouse storage and there is never enough place to store my new stuff. I like new stuff.
I also have an issue with money. There is always new shiny stuff that I want, but the evil capitalist pigs only pay me €150 a month for my hard labour of delivering newspapers, and from that I also need to save something for actually useful stuff. So I never have enough money to buy both shiny miniatures and games. Way too many stuff to do, not enough time, way to many stuff to store, not enough space, way too many stuff to buy, not enough money.
Bad habits, Kirya. Bad habits.

Probably work

Let's see:

- amateur electronics projects
- programming (also related to the above)
- computer games
- 40k/roleplaying
- beer brewing
- cooking/baking (if you spend hours of prep time on food, it becomes a hobby)
- camping
- reading
- cigar/hookah smoking

...yeah, I could stand to drop a couple of those. I likely won't though. Sadly, the most productive and rewarding of those are the one's I'd be most likely to drop, as they're the least social.

I have many hobbies and the one that gets me the most is my gaming hobbies. I get overwhelmed when I try to paint because I have so many armies. At the moment I have 1 30k, 11 40k, 4 Fantasy and 5 Flames of war armies. To fix this, I just work on one army at a time now. The rest stay in my storage garage.

Another gaming hobby that sometimes gets me is my computer gaming. Not that it cost me a lot, its more that I have 5 different people I play with and they all like different games. So working 12 hour shifts overnight 4 to 5 times a week makes it difficult to equally spend time with them and family.

My less time consuming hobbies include, but no limited to, are.

Shooting (guns), I work armed security so I own guns similar to what I use at work so I can train on them outside of the work setting. I also carry concealed almost everywhere, and since my duty pistol is quite large I have other guns more appropriate for CCW. I also used to shoot competitively, mainly IDPA and IPSC, so I have a few more that I used for this. From time to time I take classes with local law enforcement and their swat teams to further my knowledge with defense and tactical awareness. This hobby has never bothered me, yeah ammo costs a good bit especially since I’ve gone through 1000 rounds or more in a week before, and keeping my lot clean and rust free.

Some more related to the above, but I don't want to clog this thread up with my many gun related hobbies.

Fixing up beater cars like my old ex-police Crown Vic, and my Pos Range Rover.

Collecting coins from different countries and precious metals.

And watching NHRA top fuel racing.

So yeah, I get that feeling from time to time. Sometimes I find it best just to forget about one or more of my hobbies and focus on one or two at a time.

Not to take this any more OT, but why does Omaha have a SWAT unit? In case the cows go wild?

Is there a zero missing there?

I mean, truth be told, that's not a TERRIBLE idea, but instead of stop, I'd personally say, "back off."

Paying student loans sucks hard. I wish I'd have saved more during school to start paying for them, or had used the money I earned during school to pay the interest.

I mean for money for goof off stuff. Like movies or drinks for friends. And I have the tuition nearly paid off. But she wants me to stop for two years all my hobbies. I know when I hit that dorm room it will be toned down alot
