I just got done watching 13 Sins on Netflix and it was a good creepy movie about a twisted gameshow. I never would have watched it if it wasnt on Netflix, and I was wondering if anyone had any movie recommendations of good films buried in the Netflix streaming catalogue.

Red vs. Blue. Actually, this is pretty much a trainwreck of TV, but totally unable to look away.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Valhalla Rising, despite the bad title, was a good movie. Saw it on a whim on Netflix and it was an instant favorite for me. You'd have to enjoy slow, plodding stuff like 2001 to enjoy it, plus it s pretty rough with the violence at times.

For me the two that come to mind are Goon & Europa Report.
I watched Goon with mega bassist's recommendation. Really funny hockey movie with Kim Coates fro extra hilarity although the ending is pretty stomach churning
Europa Report is a spiritual successor to Arthur C. Clarke's Odyssey Quadrilogy after the feth up that was 2010 we'll never see 2061 & 3001 on the big screen. This film does borrow heavily from 2061 being set on Europa but
Spoiler:
Doesn't have the whole Halman "All these belong to you except Europa" and the Jupiter-Sun thing

The creature involved is also pretty damn similar to the creature from 2010 (The book)
Spoiler:
That attacked & killed the Chinese astronauts that crash landed on Europa

Also not a movie but Scooby Doo: mystery Incorporated. Both seasons are on netflix and I really enjoyed this show, although it still subscribes to the Scooby Doo formula of solving mysteries but has a season long plot arc in each season and it feels like they develop the characters beyond earlier incarnations and manage to include pop cultural reference's to things including HP Lovecraft & Watchmen overall it was a really good watch I recommend you watch the first 2 or 3 episodes to get a feel for it

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

I just watched Goon last night. I'm a SWS fan, so it was cool to watch. Man, Eugene Levy just can't stay out of his movies either.

Kagemusha is an awesome classic samurai movie on Netflix. There is a newer movie called Masquerade that seems heavily inspired by the former, and is also a good movie.

Do they have the full 4 hour version (or however long it is) or is it still the abridged one? I didn't like the abridged version of Arn or Red Cliffs. The full version of Red Cliffs I got on DVD was sweet.

Red Cliffs was good. Liked the part how they replenish their supply of arrows using boats

I caught Arn either on Netflix or Hulu. They were episodes.

You ever saw the black and white version of 47 Ronin?

Most definitely these. There was actually a Judge Dee movie back in the 70's that I believe they were trying to get going as a series. It looked like it was being done by the same people that put out The Wild Wild West.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071703/

Looks like it's a book, also:
