I've been tossing around the idea of making a CSM army with an allied detachment of daemons. The basis of this army is swarming the opponent, with a primary goal of getting straight into assault, tying things up or destroying them, and otherwise thwarting anyone's strategy by forcing unplanned decisions from the very start. The CSM army is highly changeable, but primarily I was planning on running 2 maulers, 2-units of raptors with meltas, a lord on a bike with spawn, two drakes, troops would be filled with cultists. As for the daemons, I've been tossing around an idea of bringing in some scout by way of one unit of flesh hounds and then one unit of blood crushers. The flesh hounds would be accompanied by a herald of khorne on a jugger-stead, and the blood crushers would be led by Karanak. This would give both units scout. The strategy would be to try and go turn 2, scout everything up, aim the maulers and lord w/spawn in the same directions. The cultists would run towards objectives, as would the daemon troops. The raptors would help run interference, or provide for alternative targets. If people focus on them, they will pay for later by way of maulerfiend. If not, I'll get into the back field and melta rear armor.
I'm wondering if anyone has run a list like this. I am also wondering what kind of tactics one would use with this type of list. Do assault type tactics, like this, work in the 7th? Also, how do you feel about the blood crushers and flesh hound units?
