Was a fun battle. I had the joys of Scaring the Eldar player with my heavy flamer Chimera all battle haha.

This is my first Comic style Battle Report and boy its much harder than it looks. Next time if I do this again it will require a lot more thought and time behind it. So to the guys that normally do Comic batreps, good on ya! This is hard stuff haha.

Bravo sir. Excellent effort. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I will say i am surprised that you chose to do a three way battle as your first Comic rep. Its tough to constantly get around the table to get those perspective shots. I really like the green muzzle flash you used for the grey knight psycannon.

Also nicely done on the humor, poor sangwa is gonna need to see a dermatologist stat.

Just remember that its always nicer to look at the larger images and scroll through, so if your going to post to blogspot it means you miss the narration that occurs between pics. This narration could be placed in a text box on the pic itself. However excellent job. Looking Forward to seeing a few more of these as you grow more comfortable with the format. If your using photoshop (and I think you are) feel free to PM me with any questions.

Yea it was meant to just be Grey Knights but the Eldar player had nothing to do, so we decided to just let him tag along. As it turned out I was the one caught up in their battle. I was a bit silly and didnt save the effects I used for the first half of the battle, and I could not get that green muzzle flash again! So im gonna build up a library so I can keep it consistent.

The Eldar player is usually really anal about losing his men. This is the first time I have ever seen him waste a soldier to gain an advantage. I thought I would make a mockery of it

Yea someone mentioned the narration on my blog and it really hit me how much info was lost because I lacked that vital info!

Great stuff, very amusing and nicely done on the editing side. I also laughed at the panel with the chimera facing down the Dire Avenger. 'Purge it quick!'

The original said "he" but im not sure we would call aliens we have never seen by an assumed gender, so replaced "he" with "it".

Did not regret it at all.

I will PM ya later on mate. I use photoshop at work every day, but im usually doing completely different stuff. Its a pretty big program but any knowledge would be very helpful.

Also I see what you mean about having to click on the images and cycle through as opposed to simply scrolling down. Its something I will have to work on with the layout of my blog I guess. But the picture of text for narration is pretty genius.

I think the use of narrative boxes in the corner of the images could help tie the details of the battle together better in the future. That way you can narrate the broader elements of the game as you go along.

Example of what I mean:

I can probably do that easily. What I need to do to make this work is actually take pictures with this in mind. Its easy to take all the pictures, but when it comes to editing them a whole new set of issues come up.

So next time if I plan out my photos better I can easily add in the boxes and get more of the general board and battle involved as well.

Actually, scratch that. I can just make the canvas bigger and have some white space above or below each caption and that ensures i always have space?

We have played many 3 way battles, this is the first time I was not caught in the middle of the fight. It was rather satisfying burning the remains of their forces.
