TACTICS: Sorcerer runs with the rhino,, typhus stays with his zombies. Rhino moves up and meltas any threat and then sticks around at an objective. The flamer squad will be a tarpit close combat unit. Havocs will focus on tanks at long range while the defiler does the same, staying close to keep them out of CC. Heldrake wil focus on infantry and light tanks, while bikers rush pathfinders/other units sitting back. Termies deep strike on to finish business. What do you guys think?

Looks solid. I don't think you need 4 lightning claws on the terminators. They won't cut through AP2, and mauls will wound easier, but both are free. The Ap3 at I is good, and since you don't have a bonus pistol/ccw thing, I would keep 1-2 but drop the rest for mauls or axes.Use the points to get a aura of dark glory on the sorcerer just in case.

I dropped two claws for two mauls. One thing I'm worried about is the bikers, they feel kind of like easy first blood for my opponent.

I'm not a big fan of Defilers. The damage chart made them a little more survivable, but they're pretty expensive and suffer from trying to be good at two things at once. I'd drop it, add another squad of Havocs with lascannons and beef up your bike squad.

What would be your ideal bike squad?

I'm not a fan of the defiler either I don't see why you wouldn't take a Maulerfiend and save the points.

Or a squad of Nurgle Spawn.

It's really garbage unit.

Ideally, I would have

5-7 bikes total
2 melta/plasma/flamer
MoN or MoS(with IoE)
If you have points melta bombs, combi weapon, give the champ a power weapon or fist depending on the unit's role. If you play against lots of marines get votlw.

Only thing i've bought so far is a terminator lord and plague marines because i know i will be using them. I actually love the fiend model but I feel like most people never bring one, I'm quite excited that it has become a good model

Whoops... there doesn't seem to be anything here.

Yeah, for the price i really don't think a defiler is competitive. I'm definitely adding a maulerfiend, I really like them. I might add some extra havocs in with the leftover points.

I've thought about it, but I don't really wanna make him any more expensive. With Typhus taking up so many points, I want him cheap. I have thought about replacing him with a nurgle termie lord that deepstrikes with the termie squad (i have that in my 1000 pt list), but I really wanna use psykers.
