Termies are a poor choice.
The bikes are way faster than your termies are, and therefore you'll have to congoline the bikes. That or you use the firepower of the Crusader.
If you go that route, drop the termies (and the chap) and take a reg. Command Squad to sit in the Crusader and invest the (many) saved points in more bikers. Maybe a Libby on a bike with a PFG or a techmarine that rides with the LR with a PFG. A Deathwing LR with a Techie with PFG is a tough nut to crack.
Not a fan of thee Contemptor either, since he's basically all alone and an easy target therefore, but the best AA you can get.

Whilst I don't think the terminators are as much of a terrible choice as Thairne (in order to get firepower out of them, they'd need to disembark, with the crusader and two bike squads nearby for the buff, thus losing the protection of the 'raider), I would agree that a power-armoured command squad with the banner would be more efficient, and a PFG-wielding, bike-riding Techmarine behind the raider (with the venerable upgrade) would be more the more cookie-cutter build.

Yeah, thats the issue. The Termies cost a buttload of points and do exactly nothing until the LR is destroyed (which is firing one weapon with Potms trying to keep up with the bikes).
Fun fact though: the 7th FAQ does not limit the PFG anymore when embarked on a vehicle. No need for a Bike for the Tech anymore (at least for now ).
Give the Techy a Servo harness for the cost and you have a reroll pens, 4++, 4+ IWND Land Raider carrying your Banner with a somewhat usable Techy if the LR ever gets destroyed.

Provided that you are using a dead-tree Codex that is. If you have the digital version of the DA codex, it still contains the altered wording for the PFG.

So you have the basic making of the death star ravenwing and it is a good start. You have the commandsquad, sammy, and min or two bike squads.
Any strong ravenwing, however, will run a darkshroud. Not sure if you own one, but it is almost a requirement. At 80pts it makes your ravenwing bikes very very very hard to kill.
Ok so back to your list over all. I like the deathstar bikes, I am not a fan of pretty much everything else. The land raider slows down your whole army. You want to be able to scout everyone up turn 1 and hit as hard as possible, in good ole ravenwing fashion.
So you have a landraider 260 pts, chaplian with termie armor 130 points (i think), and the command squad with ml that is like another 245 pits. The banner if fine keep it just put in other black knight command squad. People think they are squishier then they are. There t5 with fnp, and with a dark shroud when they jinx have a 2 up. So overall you have like 635 points put into one unit. Also once your termies get out, they wont be able to keep up with the bikes, you want the biker start to move as pretty much one whole unit, so they can all buff each other, with the banner and a dark shroud if own them. Personally if you have other models, particularly land speeders, atk bikes, a 3rd 6 man bike squad, the dark talon, etc, etc would all do much more for this army then the landraid and termies.
Finally, take the meltas off your bikes its a waste of 40 points. Most vechicles you can assualt, strip off points with hammer of wrath and then grenade there rear armor to death, your bikes are fast enough they should be able to do it np. Also you want to be shooting every twin linked bolter you have if your running banner, so the melta's are not going to get much action.
Hope this helps and gl!

I have 2 darkshrouds, i dont use them often because they can add survivability to bike squads as planned but in practice they get killed first and then the bikes get shot. as for the melta, its staying in, some people in the area spam av 14 vehicles so it is quite useful to have the option for my bikes to be able to hunt pretty much anything.

You do jinx them correct, they get a 2 up cover save. If your dealing with a lot of ignore cover armies, the yeah I can see that, and your in a lot of trouble. I have had the opposite happen. When it jinxs, its 2 up covers makes it very hard to kill most people I play with either ignore it, or waste a lot of time shooting an 80pt model.
I was just wonder. Also I can see if your fighting all av14 the the melta's would be needed.
Best of luck!
