What army is suited to have a lower model and unit count?

The first army that comes to mind is Dark Angels' terminator spam, but we all know they are limited.

I have never played GK and only once against them, VERY early in my 40k career.

In order to be competitive what army(ies) require the most models and unit count?

Orks, Bio IG, and Nids come to mind.

-------------

If you guys were to list the armies, what would you say the list would look like for model count from most to least?

ie

Orks
Nids
IG
...
...
DA Terminators

Keep in mind max competitiveness is implied, and I understand different Subsets of armies have different layouts. (Ie Model Count for White Scars > Drop Pod Sally Naughts)

well, DA terminator spam is not competitive.

also, horde IG is not competitive either.

orks do well with tons of boyz though, and nids are more dependent on FMC and MC spam than anything now.

Ironically, IG horde + DA (Azrael) = somewhat competitive.
(or at least somewhat decent, anyway)

Ig horde is doing somewhat better than ork horde. They're shooty, fearless and have strong and cheap allies like inquisitors with rad nades. Hordes are not competitive now anywayz. Yep, you can counter something like a white scars biker spam but in general, hordes are too slow and vulnerable to be considered competitive. Speed and toughness are king.

Unbound armies seldom are able to be used in tournament play. Thus, are not competitive

Thats not Unbound. Thats straight out the Codex is it not?

HQ & 4 troops

Some tourneys dont allow Knights right enough though.

Imperial Knights are not unbound. Nor are they Lords of War. It is a legitimate codex that fit within the rules for most tournaments unless the TO specifically calls out Imperial Knights as illegal.

Greyknights have low model count for most lists.

Most deathstar lists have relatively low model count unless except perhaps beaststar.
