Mek guns replace your Ranged weapon. If they have taken a KFF they have no ranged weapon to replace.
You are right though you have to take one if you want to Waagh!. He doesn't need to be the warlord either. He gets Waaagh! anyways.
Waaagh! rule states "...if he is your Warlord..."

Also, remember that cybork is just a poor-ork's painboy, no reason to have both.

Well, having the cybork would allow the save twice. I could do a 5+ invulnerable and then a 5+ feel no pain, which is nice, especially since most of my boyz get a plain 4+ and 5+ as well. I could get rid of the bosspole on the warboss and either a big shoota or the big choppa on that one squad to put rams on the trukks.
Although, if I stick my warboss with one of the squads, I was wondering why include an additional nob anyway? Having an extra powerclaw would be the only reason, and I guess too if I decided to detach my warboss for some reason. Also, in 7th edition, if I have a warboss in a squad with a nob, can the nob make challenges or only the warboss?

Are you using the old or new rules for the squiggoth?

What are the new rules? I was using the Imperial Armor version at 50 points, 4 wounds, 7 strength 6 toughness, 5+ save, transport capacity of 10. Is there something I'm missing?

...not sure how you figure the cybork lets you save twice- FnP doesn't stack, and unless you've got a KFF instead of a painboy, and you're not in melee, you're not getting an invul save.

If my warboss accepts a challenge from a space marine sergeant and gets hit with a power fist (no instant death because it's 8 strength vs 5 toughness), I take my cybork save. I fail my cybork save. Then, because I'm technically suffering an unsaved wound, I thus get to take my FNP save. Correct?

Cybork is a FNP save now. Its only 6+ where the pain boy gives you a FNP 5+. So no you don't get both.

Yeah, no more melee invul saves for orks. ...Unless you brought Kaptin Badrukk and for some reason decided to let him get into a fist-fight.
