Hello fellow wargamers!

I am fairly new to The Legion of Everblight, so I came to these forums seeking the advice of more experienced players. I recently obtained a 75+ point army from a friend who was quitting the game. He gave me an incredible deal on the army, so I simply couldn't resist the purchase despite my ignorance towards the general function and playstyle of the faction. Unfortunately, the only two warlocks he had available for the army included Lylyth, Herald of Everblight, and Lylyth, Shadow of Everblight (pLylyth any eLylyth). I was drawn to the mass stealth and ranged fire power available to eLylyth, so I decided to try her out first. Here is the list I am currently working with:

Lylyth, Shadow of Everblight (+5)
- Blighted Nyss Succubus (2)
- Ravagore Heavy Warbeast (10)
- Ravagore Heavy Warbeast (10)
- Nephilim Bolt Thrower Light Warbeast (6)
- Nephilim Bolt Thrower Light Warbeast (6)
- Naga Nightlurker Light Warbeast (5)
Blighted Nyss Shepherd (1)
Blighted Nyss Shepherd (1)
Blighted Nyss Strider Deathstalker (2)
Blighted Nyss Strider Rangers (6)
- Blighted Nyss Strider Officer and Musician (3)

This list leaves me with 3 points which haven't been used. Ideally I would like to play a second Strider Deathstalker. I have also toyed around with the idea of completely dropping the unit of Striders, which would give me 12 points for typhon, but unfortunately I am maxed out on beasts, and I would like to avoid changing my beast line-up because I feel like it is very solid. If I dropped a shepherd I would have room for Annyssa Ryvaal, but I wouldn't want to play her without a unit of Raptors, and I would lose out on needed fury management. Please post any advice you have for this list as it is much appreciated!

I would turn a bolt thrower into an Angelius. It gives you a heavy hitter that can free up your shooters in case you get jammed.

Is the Angelius used more for melee or ranged or does it do both well?

It's a straight melee beast, but it's a fast, versatile, and very hard-hitting one. It doesn't get much out of ELylyth's feat but it does like Shadow Pack a lot.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
As to the army list I'm skeptical about running five Warbeasts with Lylyth in the first place; if the other guy can snipe your Shepherds you've left yourself with beasts that can generate seventeen Fury and a Warcaster that can leach all of five.

Starting off with Legion I'd advise running smaller games to start with; get a hang of Lylyth and the faction at 25 or 35 before trying 50pt games. (Also tell me how it goes, I'm primarily a Skorne player and my advice is based on running Morghul, my Legion army is four models right now).
