Altsanar was stuck in the Eye and eventually swallowed by the warp until the 13th Black Crusade tore a open a rift, and Maugan Ra - the Craftworld's only escapee - entered through it, found the Craftworld, and led it back out using a trail of soulfire he'd left behind him as a breacrumb trail.

The craftworld's survivors are treated with suspicion and best, and open hostility at worst by other craftworlds because of the time it had spent in the warp (since Slaanesh's psychic shockwave up until the 13th Crusade).

Whether or not they are actually corrupted is debatable.

After that long in eye, definitely debatble if they are corrupted. How do you live so long in the heart of chaos power and not be even slightly?

Well time goes differently in the Warp. They could have been there for millenia or 15 years. We don't know.

My local GW store often has Imperium vs. Chaos narrative campaigns in which Xenos races pick sides. I'm trying to come up with a suitably fluffy reason for my Eldar to fight for Chaos.

Forget xenos, forget heretics.

By helping Chaos defeat the Imperium force X X and X will allow for Chaos to fight and destroy an almighty Ork Waaagh! That would end up destroying multiple Craftworlds.

Yeah they hate Chaos, but if helping Chaos here will save Eldar lives there, so that the Orks from all the way over there can be intercepted by the Nids hiding behind that planet in 40 years time...they'll do it.

I don't think it would happen. Slaanesh likes eating Eldar souls, so I don't really see any chaos Eldar surviving very long.

They're in battle with Khornate daemons, not fighting at their side. That's what a sentence like that means.

I thought it meant corrupted as in the craft world structure being tainted. Read that wrong.

My local GW does something similar. Imperium is one faction, Tau and Eldar another but their points are cumulative. The Chaos side is CSM and CD as one, DE, Necrons, Orks and Nids as their own but all their points are cumulative too.

Path of the Incubus apparently mentions a craftworld corrupted by Tzeentch according to another forum post.

in RT era there were chaos Eldar.

Despite they are not mentioned anymore, it was never retconned that they never existed or could be.

there were even Slaaneshi Eldar models officially produced for GW by marauder miniatures, I think it was a blisterpack of 3-4.

One of the Dark Eldar novels does mention inhabited crone worlds. There are also other places where it is mentioned that some of the eldar that remain on the crone worlds are still there and make up some of the more powerful minions of their dark masters.

Are all eldar souls auto claimed by slannesh?

would it be possible for them to get some favor protections from like say tzeench? or even corn?

If their soul enters the Warp unprotected Slaanesh grabs them but they probably could make deals with other Chaos Gods.

anything COULD happen in 40k universe, chaos eldar is part of them and.. you will find some in the almighty writter's work of BL who I mentioned above
