There's been some talk lately about the Inquisition being removed from the Grey Knight codex, I never noticed the Inquisition tab before on GWs site so perhaps I've been living in my man cave for too long or it's new. If the Inquisition part was removed from the GK codex where would that put the Assassins? New FOC slot for Assassins? Wouldn't surprise me in the least...

If this is old news I'm sorry, saw nothing when I did a search other than the mention in the GK thread and SoB thread about the speculated removal of =][= from the GK codex.

I really really hope not, Coteaz and henchmen were great, cheap ways to unlock all the stompy GK goodies I like to play with.

I hadn't noticed the new tab. It certainly looks like they will be removed from the new GK codex. It's a good way to make GK players buy more stuff.

If they pull the Inquisition out of Grey Knights, that's going to leave that book pretty crippled. Power Armor GK are too costly in the dakka edition leaving terminators, but primarily Paladins. Seeing how they are removing all the Force Organisation shenanigans, I bet you Draigo will no longer make them troops. They haven't FAQ'd Unyielding Anvil, either.

So basically, GK are about to get real hosed if that happens.

doesn't mean that they will be removed. There,s als a tab for the storm trooper, and they're still in the IG codex

There are more then a few rumors about a GK codex yet this year... That said the inquisition really isnt a standalone force. Neither one of them are. Both need some kind of range. Monkeys can only carry you so far.

Maybe it's to make room for an all new stand alone Inquisition codex with new plastic kits, new henchmen, and all sorts of madness!

Nah.

I kid.

A real Inquisition codex would be too much like fun for GW to ever do it.

Stormtroopers don't exist, they've been replaced by Scions, so no, they aren't in the IG codex.

I really hope GK doesn't get nuked, they were my next army.

If GW follows their Space Marines +1 theme, they should be fine.

Not really, what's the difference from using the GK codex and an Inquisition detachment compared to the GK with included Inquisition? Assassins and that Valeria Inquisitor that's going to get removed because she doesn't have a model?

Cheap objective secured troops to offset your heavy hitters of Paladins, Storm Ravens, Dreadknight, Dreadnaughts, etc. At least that's my play style. And I fully see that getting crapped on my Games Workshop since they did it to the Codex Inquisition with Coteaz and losing Lord of Formosa.

Also, my Draigowing becomes unbound as I have no troop choices anymore. I don't have the points in my list to add in standard power armor troops and give them transport. Thus is it kills my standing army that's already built and finished. And any game developer does this is shooting themselves in the foot.

They're not the same though, Scions aren't Inquisition, Stormtroopers are. There's a difference now whereas there wasn't before, that was my only point...which by how I replied, didn't really convey that...clarification!

Every new army book also leaves scores of crippled army-concepts behind.

Been there, done that. Lost almost a dozen armies that were left unplayable after GW "re-worked" them.
Not looking forward to new books these days.

There's no such thing as "Inquisitorial Storm Troopers", and there hasn't been since the Witch Hunter Codex went bye bye.

I can pretty much garuantee there will be a paladin formation, so you'll still be able to use your army battleforged. Add in an Inquisitorial Detachment and you have exactly the same army.

In the Ork codex fluff it references a Rogue Trader fighting off Inquisition Storm Troopers while the orks make off with the loot both of them were fighting for. That's post "We can't trademark Guard or Storm Trooper" renames, so I'd wager insofar as GW is concerned, Inquisition Storm Troopers are still a thing.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

For what it's worth, Tempestus is Latin for Storm. So, Tempestus Scion is storm warrior/trooper etc.

Hey great, GW remembered the inquisition existed. Now we get our own Army tab.

When will we get our own army?

Except that you already own the models and this will either force you to buy more models or stop playing. If you buy more models, it's a win for them. If you stop playing, you weren't buying models anyway so they lose nothing on the short term. Most people probably just buy new models.

In the long term they lose the potential for you to recruit more people into the game but they already made that unlikely since it costs so much to get into the game to begin with.

Except 'scion' doesn't mean 'warrior'. It means "a young member of a rich or important family" or "a descendent or heir".

I never said GW's Latin was correct. It's actually amusingly bad. On a side note, most Storm Troopers come from rich and important families.

The ork codex mentions them oddly enough.
