Who cares about the warp storm? There's only nurglings and Fatey which it can affect.

Frankly, I'd go with Be'lakor instead. He's always getting 2+ jink cover saves and he comes with Invisibility.

Non-Battle Brother allies are considered enemy units which is enough for the Warp Storm to always swing at them when it gets the chance. Guard Allies had this problem in 6ed too.

Plus Fateweaver works fine if he's not in competition for warp charges with other psykers. He get's to be the flying tool-box of artillery he was before.
