Wherever they tell me

I was wondering if anyone had come up with any house rules for playing something like the battle of Hoth?

I've got a pretty good idea of how to do it, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

-Snowspeeders use an A wing dial for movement.
-AT-AT's can stay stationary or move either 1 forward or 1 bank in their turn, and use a big base.
-AT-ST's can stay stationary, move 2 forward, 2 bank, or any 1 speed, and can turn up to 45 degrees if stay stationary.

That's the start of what I was thinking, here are some other ideas:
-If using the cables to take down an AT-AT, the speeder must make three successful circles and must stay within range 2 of the target AT-AT.
-AT-AT's are immune to normal attacks from Snowspeeders, but AT-ST's can be targeted as normal.
-AT-AT's are treated just like obstacles when it comes to bumps (except you can't land on them)

Using what as minis for the speeders, AT-AT and AT-ST?

Currently that's where I'm having a real debate. Part of me wants to use those mini lego sets and just set them on the bases haha.

I'm not really familiar with all the minis that are out there for star wars. I know there have been literally hundreds of different toys by this point.

Shapeways might be an option, but it wouldn't be a cheap one!

Buy the old Hoth snap kits. There's 2 of them, you'll get 6 speeders, AT-ST, 2 AT-AT, plus 3 turrets, 2 anti-armor guns & a bunch of infantry & tauntauns.

There's some awful Y-Wings that make good fodder for conversions & X-Wings with S-Foils closed that can make good Z-95s.
