Microsoft keeps being amazing at Gamescom and after the most amazing borefest I have ever seen, they get bonus points for this: I am taking bets on how long it takes until Tomb Raider gets released on PC / PS4!

I thought the rumour was that Tomb Raider 2 (or Rise of the Tomb Raider, whatever) was only going to timed exclusive for the Xbox One. So a year at most is my bet, if even after the backlash they got after announcing it so vaguely.

It's the nVidia upgrade box that really makes that screenshot shine.

HA!
It really does.
That really says something about the standards we set for "next- gen" if out of date video drivers match current gen. specs.

Not only that, both the PS4 and the XBone run AMD GPU's (or APU's in the case of the PS4). Neither one has nVidia hardware, so that X-Box isn't an X-Box, it's a computer hiding behind the façade of an X-Box.
There's a concept most of you will know about called "bullshots", where screenshots are doctored to make a game appear better than it is. Ubisoft is very good at this (ref: Watch_Dogs), but it appears that Microsoft have taken this to the next level: Real-time bullshots, where the game looks, runs and plays really well on the X-Box before you, but really it's running on a PC under the desk.

Yup. All games they presented for the Xbox 180° were played on computers with Kinect drivers and controller emulators.
Tells you a lot about the "power" of said system.

"Look we're running 1080p/60fps! The X-Bone can do it!"
No... you're running 1080p/60fps (or more) on a computer running a 780 Ti or something.

Eh, this is nothing new, both Sony and Microsoft have been found guily of this multiple times.

Microsoft is just digging their own grave. I like how they had the balls to just stand in E3 and announce that this event is about consoles, so PC titles should feth off.
I mean, hey, it's their business. The only sad thing is how it affects various interesting titles they are keeping their thumbs on, either making sure they are only released for PC at a later date, or perhaps not at all. Not to mention that I've long since lost confidence in console-to- PC ports; so-called "console exclusive" often mean nothing but "the PC version of this is going to suck".
Ultimately, it's just another example of accepted industry wisdom at work. The photo posted in the OP is glorious, though.

Yeah, after the announcement conferences and the previous E3. We're a bit beyond that now. The systems are out and should work, no?

No, my point is. Lots of PS3 and Xbox 360 games were also shown running on PC's. This really is nothing new for the industry, they use PC's so they can run incomplete games at a more stable framerate.
That said, I'm stilling laughing my arse off that the NEXT GEN!!111!! can't even handle something simple as 1080p 60fps.

And then we get idiots like the guys making that Steampunk London game telling us that they're doing for a lower framerate because it's "more cinematic". How can they peddle such bull gak with a straight face?
Anyone who knows anything know that 24 fps was chosen by the film industry to SAVE MONEY, not because of some inherent "cinematic quality" or due to some biological inability to see frame rates higher than 30fps.

To be fair, the fanboys defending that are also the guys who still think humans can't detect the difference between 30fps and 60 fps.
