That doesn't look like cotton, is it more along the lines of fiber stuffing for a pillow?

Nice skeletal horde, it even has bone/zombie giants.

It is a packing material, but very like the stuff you are talking about. It is more synthetic though. I'm pretty sure it came in a package from Zealot Minitatures.

Probably not too hard to find, I"ll have to look into it.

My Dwarven Army so far. I do have 4 troops of Ironwatch painted but they need movement trays. I also have 5 Brocks painted but only 2 riders so far.

Those Imperial/Crimson Fist decals don't look too out of place on that lot. Nice work

Finally did some soldiers to repel the martian menace. I straightened the bendy guns in hot water but they have slowly bent back to their original droopy shapes. Ho hum.

I've heard that boiling water may work better than just hot.. but I haven't had a chance to try it out.

Your soldier scheme is fantastic, they look great!

Getting a Stargate vibe almost, probably just the grey/camo/black though. They make a good contrast with your scenery and Martians both

Interesting scheme. For some reason his legs don't look as stumpy, maybe it's the camera angle.

Alrighty here are a few more Mars Attacks minis. I'm actually gonna use them as a Pulp Alley League, but there's nothing stopping me from using them for their respective MA scenarios too!


Tunga, Natalya, Vasquez (at least that's what I call her!), Buck Spencer, Esteban, and Falco.

As usual with Mars Attacks minis, I had a lot of fun painting these though I didn't spend a lot of time per mini. I went pretty close to studio schemes for these, I dunno if it was lack of inspiration or if I just really liked what they had going on. Maybe a bit of both.

Nice work with the soldiers there larva look pretty cool!
Painting the brickwork looks like it might have been a PITA lol.

I can't wait to dig into some Mantic stuff (playing my first demo game of KoW NEXT weekend, though I may practice against myself this weekend lol. I only have my WHFB minis to use as proxies!)

Yup. It's one of the Heresy ones. I've had them sitting on a shelf for years and suddenly they have become useful

3 down, 6 to go. Not very well molded this lot. At least it's an excuse to not worry too much about the quality of paint job

They look good, I like your work on the terrain too!

And then there were six. So close to being able to count mars attacks as done.

They look great I like Phil's pink shirt and his glasses seem to have turned out well. I really like Ashley too, her jacket kind of has that glossy plastic/synthetic material thing going on like the fancy crinkly plastic looking coats that are sometimes worn.

Alright, got a saucer done along with the little boy civilian:




The saucer was a very simple airbrush/drybrush affair... but I still like how it turned out. Pilot was kind of boring, need to save those for when I feel like painting martians I guess. The glued-on console makes it kind of a pain to paint it well so I more or less didn't try. I'd finish my other saucers forthwith if they didn't have pilots to do

The kid I painted for use in Pulp Alley as well, super quick paint job.

Oooh, shiny. That giant mech emerging from the trees looks great (and is the first time I've appreciated the scale of your jungle terrain).
